I know I'm not the first to suggest something like this, but why don't we try to get a solid "second team" that can practice more together and act as a more cohesive "unit" that what we're doing now?

I realize this isn't Kentucky from a few years ago where you just sub-in 5 new players because you have 10 5* AA on your team and maybe we can't do this at all without Tevian playing, but assuming he gets back soon (he's suiting up tomorrow, right?)

I feel like if Giorgi and Dre (heck, substitute Trent for Dre in this scenario) are practicing hard together and know how to play off of each other they are going to EAT UP pretty much every other school's 2nd string. Maybe you flip Dre and Trent because a Dre/Giorgi pairing is not exactly a paragon of defense, but you get my point (hopefully). Don't be reactive on the matchup game. Plan it, practice it. Force other teams to react to us.

Maybe all the sadness is just getting to me. We've gotta try SOMETHING different at some point.

Starters are WAY too small. We'd get posted up to high heaven. I'd go Ayo, Trent, Alan, GB and Kofi. No one feeds Kofi better than GB does.

I predict a Win. Ayo comes out on 🔥 and goes for a team-high 23, Trent with 16 followed by Giorgi picking up 15pts, 12 in the paint and 1 three.

I thought it was a very interesting comment by Giorgi about there being some guy(s) on the team that didn't take to his rah-rah (for lack of a better word) approach and that he was still learning that being supportive/motivating meant something different to some players. Astute on his part to be wanting to figure that out.

Right.....so if you are "fanatical" about your team then why the hell would you DVR it or not watch unless something more important in you life prevents it?

And by "something more important" I mean the birth of your first child or sex with Jennifer Aniston.....ok fine, sex with anyone...but that doesn't take up the whole game...

We have Kofi and Ayo and that’s all.

You can make a case for Tevian and Trent but technically they’re outside 100. Feliz was a top Juco transfer, but still not technically top 100 out of high school. Giorgi was clearly undervalued, but without looking at potentially undervalued players on Maryland’s team it’s sort of odd to count that.

Even IF you do all the typical fan type things to convince yourself our talent pool is better than the metrics indicate, Maryland still has 6 without any hedging.
