And to think Rece Davis of ESPN had us as Darkhorse to make the NC playoff pre-season...That prediction did not age well..

Can we just go ahead and forfeit to save the fresh air of Michigan and our bus driving the garbage up there? Im now a fan of whoever michigan plays until we can put a consistent program with some excitement on the field. Do you mean to tell me that Northwestern is now the primo football school and stadium in the state...

Purdue is worse than we are. So, no, I have no hope.
After today...no they are not. They simply played a harder schedule than us to this point. Going into the game today, I was much less confident than many other posters, as I have thought Purdue was better than their record.

The Illini are easily one of the four worst teams in the B1G (Illini, MSU, Maryland, and Rutgers). Good news is that we play two of them (starting next week). Win those two, and we might be 4-4 going down the stretch in November.

If we lose this game, then we are likely a 2 or 3 win team. Win, and we can possibly get to 5 wins (maybe 6 if we get a couple upsets).

This team was always going to be worse than prior years, but the extent of the fall has been more disappointing. It is looking like this team might go 2-5 at home this year (barring an upset or two)...that is unacceptable. The pressure for 2027 will be tremendous if this season continues to unravel.

If the team can win the next two, two out of three ain't bad.

Whether that will happen or not, I have no idea. Let me sleep on it, I'll give you an answer in the morning.

As for tonight, I'm gong to hit the highway like a battering ram on a silver-black phantom bike.
