Win this one and the next two, and we still got good chance to win a shared title. Purdue has to play Wisconsin (so the loser will get the 5th loss), and the winner is not very likely to win the rest either (Purdue has to play Michigan State on the road and their instate rivalry Indiana, and Wisconsin has to play Rutgers on the road).

The best scenario is for Purdue to lose at Wisc, Wisc to lose at Rutgers and we win out. Purdue is not losing to IU. IU stinks, they stink to high heaven on the road, and Purdue will be looking for revenge and IT'S ON SENIOR DAY. That game has smoke show/rout/blowout written all of over it.

In all honesty man, it's nice to win the conference title but I'm at the point where I want a good/great showing in the NCAA tournament. This season is about that right now for me.

agreed...but the goal is to lock up a three seed worse case going into the BTT. If we win 2/3, we have a four seed locked up worse case. Winning all three gives us a three seed with a chance at a 2 if we get to the final or win

Dickinson runs like…

He’s trying to keep change from falling out of his pockets…
He’s punching his way through a mob of kindergarteners…
He’s holding a weedeater in each hand…
He’s throwing a temper tantrum under an invisible table…
He’s cross-country skiing on concrete…
He’s having a dominant erupt in his shorts...

[You don’t get this level of pregame analysis just anywhere, folks!]

From the games I've seen, Hunter has improved his outside shot this year. That, on top of the fact that Martelli is coaching, gives me pause as I think Kofi will struggle on defense if Michigan can game plan (and execute) to stretch him out to the three point line because Hunter is hitting those shots.

I'm still not comfortable with our offense right now as outside shooting remains to be rather cold (for the team as a whole, obviously Plummer went off yesterday, but the rest were 4 for 15) and really the defense hasn't been great either recently giving up 76 per game over the last 5. But I think the loss last night invigorates the team and they're able to get out of Ann Arbor with a win, 71 - 68.

Just WIN, I don't care how just win.....Defense and rebounds seem to be the key to winning on the road so lets make sure we do that....

We are 2-4 against teams with a top 20 offense. Losses against Purdue (x2), OSU, and Arizona. 1 win against Iowa very early in the season and against Michigan without Dickinson.

I am worried about this one and the Iowa game. Michigan and Iowa are both playing better than the last time we played them. They both have length at the guard/PF spots and that is our weakness. And it seems like, more often than not, when we start getting into a shootout, our offense falters and we fall behind. I know BU wants to get out and run, but IMO now is the time to slow it down and feed Kofi nonstop. We have enough shooters we can get a 3 pt look literally whenever we want. Feed Kofi first.

Michigan has been up and down all season. Lucky for us, they played really well against Rutgers and hit a lot of tough shots. That means they should be cold against us.

The emergence of CoHawk last night was the best thing I've seen in a long while. You could literally see him overcome his hesitance and bloom with assertion and confidence. I hope he can bring that passion and intensity on Sunday. Put 25 lbs on him in the off-season and he'll be an absolute beast.

This is gonna be tough. Michigan is fighting for a tourney bid and IMO Howard getting suspended is a net positive for them. Dickinson can shoot from outside at the 5 which can give us problems. I'm not sold on us winning this game, but I'm wrong all the time. Go Illini!

I'm at the point where if they let BOTH teams play, we should win this by 5-7 points. If not, it could be Rutgers all over again.

I get the feeling us losing the way we did tonight will not be good for Michigan.
I hope (and think) you are correct. We really need this one ... lose this one, and our season prospects are looking a lot more like 2019-20 than last year - not bad by any means, but probably not setting ourselves up for a true chance at a Final Four run or a Big Ten Championship (for those keeping the hope for a share alive). We have proven to be a better team than Michigan this year, we have proven we can beat good teams on the road and we have all the motivation teed up for us in the world. Lose in Ann Arbor, and I become concerned.

With that said, I am cautiously optimistic that the OSU loss will light a late season fuse for this team. We got completely JOBBED at home by the officials, to the point our coach clearly felt he needed to make a statement, but we also beat ourselves. And I think the guys know this. We have three very winnable games left and the hope for a title is still alive ... the hope for a great BTT seed and a great NCAA seed are DEFINITELY still alive. I am looking to see this team use the OSU loss as a rallying point.

Illinois 77
Michigan 68
