Borther Pru, I deeply regret showing up to MSG last Saturday evening sans chewables. At least I could have consoled myself around halftime with the Spinal Tap/David St. Hubbins observation: "Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation."

I always harp on rebounding and sometimes, like last night, it apparently wasn't so important. But I think it will be Sunday. Illinois still ranks 9th in the nation getting 55.6% of rebounds...but only 43.3% since losing Morez. Michigan is 38th at 53% and has been at that level most of the season. Everyone, but the guards especially, is going to have to go hard to the boards for the Illini to have a chance.
Hopefully Riley will shoot better. Playing more minutes may impact thar but at least Roley stresses the D by attacking the basket.
Will be interesting to see what the starting lineup will be. Iowa is small so maybe throwing Will in there was more about the match-up and less about playing your five best guys...

Also our wings need to guard their guys better. When Big T, Ben, Trey and others have to help out and try to block or challenge shots the result is they are out of position to get rebounds and prevent put backs. That has been happening to often
More like generic versions of Danny Wolf. Hopefully he forgets how to play basketball on Sunday or he might go for 35
Keep the starting lineup please. We keep getting off to bad starts due to substandard starting lineups. Yesterday was a first in the right direction.

The metrics do not love Michigan. Not as good offensively as they should be given their front court. Really struggle done the stretch of games. KenPom Luck rating is on the upper side.
I don’t know who watched the Nebraska game on Monday, but they looked REALLY bad and were lucky to escape with a win. This is a game that will be close but I expect us to win.

If there's a debate between matching size and playing the best players (because it's basically a Ben discussion) we go with talent.

If Morez was there who would guard Wolf? White and Ben or Riley? Any of those would be as good on him as Morez. Tomi has to stay inside with Goldin.I agree...without Morez, I don't know how you match up with their bigs. And we're not a team to try a 2-3 match-up zone. Don't have a lot of confidence in this one. Maybe this will be the game we shoot 50% from 3 and blow em out.
Overdue for a game where our 3's are true, multiple and continue all game long. How about 2 of those games in a row please

amazing how that win last night helps the angst for this one. Michigan really probably is due to lose. The guards really aren't great.

The issue is depth.
Problem is that Hum is essentially our backup 5 man. Aka..we’d rather not put Booth in the game. So it’s hard to start both of Tomi and Hum without another big to throw in there.
I hope our lineup stays the same and Will or Tre go off and Tre and Kylan give Wolf fits….I hope!
It will be an interesting game. I wonder if KB will guard Wolf. We have to hit shots in this game. Would love to see Tre go off as he did in several games.
