Front court matchup worries me with Morez out. Someone else is going to need to step up and help Tomi out with rebounding. Nevertheless, very winnable game.

Our guards are going to have to crash the glass hard. It'll have to be a gang rebounding effort, which doesn't lend itself to many transition buckets. This would be a good game to have a couple of guys shoot lights out. Otherwise, the outcome won't be optimal.

I think a lot rests on Tomi staying out of foul trouble and Will getting hit on offense so it offsets us getting killed with their size.

Hard to see us winning with only 1 big. Best strategy is to let their big guys get theirs. Just don't give up open 3s or offensive rebounds. Then hope our offense gets hot and they can't keep up.

The good news is Michigan has to play on Thursday, so we get an extra 2 days rest. We also get an extra 2 days rest against Purdue FWIW. Kind of an extra bonus at the end of the season for us.

I think we just need to have a top 5, maybe even top 10, season outing with our 3 point shooting in this game. Do that, we win!

We are just as talented, even a man down, as Michigan.
Drive the ball, make the sacrifice plays, get downhill every possession, and cut hard. Simple stuff.
Every team can get got, go get a roadkill. We're due.

Time for bold moves...Im starting Booth on Golden with the simple instructions....you have 5 fouls, use everyone of them in the first 5 minutes. Hard fouls, not dirty. Next man up is Jake Davis...yes he is way under sized, but quicker and all I'm needing is another 5 hard fouls...now I hope we get one if not two fouls out of Golden out of frustration as well as one from his usual defense and fouls. Now we can cook with Crisco!!!! Take Goldin out of the game and keep him frustrated and I like our match up a lot better. On paper, the last 4 games from Illinois tells me we will need a lot of help in this one. Just fight and compete for 40 minutes and please don't revert back to old bad habits or this one will get ugly. Good news for us, with the way transfers and rebuilding happens along with a new Coach, most of them are not aware/been a part of their 5 game ( I believe) losing streak to us. So they might take it a lil easy on us if it's out of hand :) C'mon Illinois give me reason to believe!!!

We still have a long winning streak against them, don't we?

Containing Wolf and Golden is going to be a tall order
Our wings really need to stay on their men so the bigs don't have to help so often. Tomi, Trey and Ben really need to rebound and box out those big dudes. Everyone has gotta hit the glass and if the bigs are forced to help and be out if postion to rebound as much as they have been we will lose the rebounding battle and likely the game. We have to stop the penetration of teams wings so bigs don't have to help so much which it leads to easy putbacks for our opponents because our bigs are out of position to rebound trying to block n challenge shots.

The thing that hurts with this game outside of the frontcourt mismatch is we do not play a style of defense that takes advantage of Michigan's biggest weakness, which is turning the ball over.

Forcing them to turn it over could offset their size advantage, but that's just not what this team does.

Hopefully a longer break than we have had in a while will help Tomi continue to get healthy and add some wrinkles to the defense.
