This looked like a winnable game. “Looked” being the key word. After the last 2 weeks, I have no idea what to expect. I’m still not sure Minnesota is that good, but they are figuring out how to win and we have not figured out anything it seems. -14 for the line?

Your -14 looks pretty good. Just guessing, but I'll go with Minny -12.5.

We are elite at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. No one does it better.

We need to start and look towards next year. Ryan Johnson or Samari Collier should get a look. I think BB needs too see what we have for next year before hitting the transfer portal.
Not against minny or Iowa.
against nw, yes, if Illini lose both of those games. Give them a few weeks of prep and majority of practice reps. Don’t just throw them out there without a plan to be successful.

Seems to be working for Justin Fields. Oh, wait...

Rutgers meant the whole world to our football schedule. Refs were not the best, and play calling was questionable. But what hurt the most is the team let the fans down. That will affect the student section and the number of fans willing to brave end of November weather sitting on a cold bench against Northwestern. If we get down big during the next two, I cast my vote for some PT for Ryan Johnson. One more thing, to spark things up, why not try to block a kick?

I feel like it's fair to say we are in the "let's learn about next year" mode. What does it hurt to throw Johnson or Collier out for a quarter each? Let them get some reps in practice and give them some experience the rest of the way.

We have zero experience in the QB room outside Art who is barely capable and also will be coming off a broken arm.

Yeah, anything but a fair catch. Just once in awhile. Maybe?!
