Great news that the game will be broadcast on the SEC alternative channel and available on the ESPN app. Bad news is your provider (Xfinity in my case) has to carry the SEC network (which it doesn’t). Fortunately, my second job is “tech support” for my parents in Florida so I’ll be able to watch it through their account. Last year I had to do the Fubo trial to watch the game on the SEC network. I hope there will be a more friendly viewing option for the majority of us next year.

I don't see the game in the upcoming games section of the ESPN app. But I do see other games broadcast on the SEC network, including tonight's Mizzou game. Sometimes they don't show up until closer to the game time though. Doesn't help with my planning of watching the game with someone.

I'm watching the SEC channel now as I await the start of Mizzou vs. Liberty.

Comparatively speaking, let's just say that BTN looks like a polished ESPN --- as compared to the SEC Channel's ESPN 8 - The Ocho. As I tuned in, two rednecks (who looked like extras from the movie Deliverance) were reading "Hillbilly Headlines" to the viewing audience.

Oh darn -- forgot about that. Yeah, it's been particularly effective in football the past two years.

I was starting to lean toward predicting a basketball victory on Saturday, too. I need to rethink that. Thanks for the reminder!

I think ESPN owns the SEC Network (and its alternate channel), so I guess that's technically true.

I would like us to beat Mizzou convincingly, and wipe the smug looks off their ridge runnin', outhouse usin', corn pone gulpin', tobaccy chewin', moonshine brewin', bear wrasslin', skunk huntin', barefoot, toothless, interbred, hilljack fan base. And that's just the educated ones with Mizzou bachelor degrees, not the ignorant masses down that way.

It shows on Dish Network on 404-02 Alternate Channel.

The kicker here is it shows at 6pm and not 7pm.

So, I have Xfinity in the Chicago area. Am considering adding whatever package I need to get SEC network so I can watch this game on the ESPN app (after which I will promptly cancel this bundle Sunday morning), but I'm finding it hard to figure out what bundle I'd have to add. Does anyone know? Also, is this a bad idea in general, or should I charge forward with this foolhardy plan?

This is not good news. Adequate news would be that it is on the SEC channel. Good news is ESPN picked it up. If the game were played at the Assembly Hall the BigTen network could have aired it. The should have forfeited the coin toss if there was not going to be TV coverage. Maybe that is not how it works, but it is inexcusable for this game not to be on TV.
