It's 93 degrees in Lincoln, Nebraska right now. Will be 88 degrees at kickoff. I hope we are the more fit team. This could be the difference. Really hoping the guys hydrated non-stop the last few days. These types of games are won or lost on the little things...

It's hard to imagine after the heat last Saturday that the team wasn't watching the weather report and hydrating as much as possible.

As others have mentioned, my biggest fear is that we'll be unable to stop the run. Plenty of other things to worry about as well, but that's my top worry.

I'm going in with hopes high and expectations low. And whatever happens in this game, we're already well on our way to a solid season.

My head tells me this is one that gets away from us a little. Not quite a blowout, but a game where Nebraska is comfortable most of the way and we just have trouble getting things going consistently. Definitely hope I am wrong! No matter what happens we'll still be on schedule for this season's goal.

So you don't think a 50% increase in numbers would be terribly different? I hope you're not in logistics. And no offense to Illinois whatsoever, but if you think the game day logistics are anything there like they are in Lincoln, you're mistaken. I've been to both - its not the same.
You may not have arrived until 5, but the on campus tailgating spots in Lincoln opened with lines at 8 am, and were full at noon today.
As far as it crossing anyone's mind to cancel classes, without doing any research at all, I know Maryland, Florida State and Central Florida have all done so for weeknight games.
Well the last 12 years of my career was as a senior leader in logistics management-for a Fortune 50 company. No, I don’t see another 50% as a big deal, not with many hours to absorb the volume. Even peak flows after any game disperse surprisingly quickly. Seems silly to cancel more than a couple of hours of class, the real mission of a university.

42-21 Illini. Luke throws for 3 TDs and Kaden runs for 180 yards and 3 TDs

Plus classes weren't canceled... I don't understand what about this situation is so hard to understand. They went to remote classes to free up parking on and around campus to accommodate the mass of people.

This may be most important game in BB’s tenure here.

I know many of you feeling good at 3-0 and the team does look improved, but this is year 4 for BB. According to sports-reference.com we’ve played 4 ranked teams total during BB’s first 3 years, and now we play 4 ranked teams in the next 5 weeks.

The team and coaches really need to show up for this game out the gate. I really think that a few years from now this game will either be seen as the beginning of the end for BB, or the start of a new era.

This just means it is finally time to put the big boy pants on and give them what for! Thrash them!
