Northwestern won the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk in its last year (2008). Is it sitting somewhere in their trophy case?Officially, I believe 3: Land of Lincoln Trophy (NW), Purdue Cannon (Purdue), and Illibuck (Ohio State).
Interestingly all 3 will be at stake in 2025. The last time we won all three of those rivalry games in the same season was 2001.
Yeah I can’t see more than 10,000 crazy people sitting in Wrigley freezing their butts off for a NW/UI football game. Low 20s wind chill in the teens. Let’s just get out of there with a low scoring win 17-12.Forecast for saturday: high of 23F, or high 20s (both in the same forecast). Evening has a 25 percent chance of snow.
Glad it's not a home game or I'd be obligated to be there.
It was retired so it's probably chilling in Florida yelling at young people.Northwestern won the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk in its last year (2008). Is it sitting somewhere in their trophy case?
Yes. It is in their trophy case. If Illinois had won the 2008 game, Illinois would have ceremonially returned the trophy to Northwestern.Northwestern won the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk in its last year (2008). Is it sitting somewhere in their trophy case?
T Brooks does not appear to be in a great spot with the staff. Good thing the secondary is an area of strength for us this season. Hopefully, the improved LB play the last couple of weeks can continue, and we can afford be a little more aggressive with pressure against NW and bowl opponent.
Thank you. Very informative.Yes. It is in their trophy case. If Illinois had won the 2008 game, Illinois would have ceremonially returned the trophy to Northwestern.
I think we all know what it needs to be. The Illinutgers Game Chest of Nuts trophy sponsored by Mr. Peanut.Makes me want to add a fourth trophy opportunity - and I'm open to suggestions
Of course, being hostile and abusive. It was retired so it's probably chilling in Florida yelling at young people.
Ok not gonna lie the Jewett trophy is actually pretty cool.Yes. It is in their trophy case. If Illinois had won the 2008 game, Illinois would have ceremonially returned the trophy to Northwestern.
Yeah, I do not expect to see that trophy sitting in the Northwestern trophy case very often. Lots of cobwebs will grow in that spot.Ok not gonna lie the Jewett trophy is actually pretty cool.
That's basically the worst broadcast team out there"Chris Vosters (play-by-play), Matt Millen (analyst), and Kylen Mills (reporter) have the call on Big Ten Network."

Pretty much two valid options for this game: Attend or sync the radio feed to a muted tvThat's basically the worst broadcast team out there
Choice of wordsLet’s close on a high note and spank the kitty.
Maybe Northwestern will do a cost-benefit analysis and stay in EvanstonYeah I can’t see more than 10,000 crazy people sitting in Wrigley freezing their butts off for a NW/UI football game. Low 20s wind chill in the teens. Let’s just get out of there with a low scoring win 17-12.

Got to hold the Illibuck in the North End Zone weight room/players area in 2008 during a tour of the facilities. I'd love to do the same in 2025/26.Yeah, I do not expect to see that trophy sitting in the Northwestern trophy case very often. Lots of cobwebs will grow in that spot.
Unfortunately, the Illibuck spot in the Illinois trophy case has a lot of dust accumulating. I think 2025 is a good time to bring the wooden turtle home.
I mean the IlliDuck with Oregon seems like an easy fit.Makes me want to add a fourth trophy opportunity - and I'm open to suggestions
Puny Gato! While I abhor animal abuse, this is what we need to do to the Northworstern purple puddy tats . . .

Pat Bryant btw only needs 86 yards to pass the 1,000 yard threshold.
