OSU's last 10 results, using the NET rankings:

W 93-77 vs. #46 Iowa
L 60-69 at #32 Illinois
L 70-86 at #20 Indiana
L 60-65 vs. #70 Wisconsin
L 69-77 at #53 Michigan
L 41-62 vs. #35 Michigan State
L 75-92 at #46 Iowa
L 55-82 at #5 Purdue
L 71-75 vs. #56 Penn State

The only home blowout was against Michigan State. What also stands out to me is that after being utterly decimated at Purdue, they turned around and fought Penn State to the wire ... the Buckeyes do not appear to have given up yet, and I expect a close game.

With that said, this is nothing short of a must win. Period, period, period. Even just from a psychological standpoint, if you lose this one after the emotional high of that comeback vs. Northwestern, we can give up on any substantial dreams, IMO. The NU comeback HAS to serve as some sort of momentum starter for this group ... it just has to.
They looked different in December. Beat Rutgers at home and crushed NW in Evanston by 16 on New Year's Day. Since then: 1-14, including losing to MN at home. Just. Wow.

How much worse can it get for them? Without Key on him Dain should dine well in the low post but this one worries me for some reason.

A strong argument exists that we all are drawn to competitive sports because they involve individual and team effort in striking a hard-to-hit goal... and deferral of gratification...

Basketball is in one sense the fastest way to ACHIEVE immediate gratification. Lots and lots of scoring (unlike a game like 'futbol').

You either score a basket or you don’t. And when you score... you receive that immediate gratification and reward. You feel like you did something good and you stick your chest out a bit more (of course, you do everything in reverse when you miss the shot).

And the game itself. If you’re a good team you will win more often than you will lose. Again, immediate gratification for you as a player and the greater whole of the Team.

And then of course is the ultimate gratification when you hoist the National Championship trophy over your head. For the Illini, that one has been delayed.

But NOT denied.

Scoring and winning is the acknowledgment of self-worth in sports. Not in ‘real life’, of course. But within the lines of the game itself... that is what defines your worth as an athlete.

And you can get that as fast as you can try.

I’m sure it’s already been stated…but have we really played 2 games SINCE tOSU has played most recently?

Gotta really focus on the 2 point game. I see tired legs by the end of it.

Please someone correct me and tell me tOSU isn’t sitting on a week of rest and I simply overlooked a game during the week.

What is the farthest the team use a bus for instead of flying? I understand flying to Columbus and other cities just curious what the length of drive warrants flying
I'd think anything outside of 3.5 - 4 hours, but that's just a guess. That would mean bus to UW, NU, IU, Iowa, and PU. Columbus is about 4.5 hours driving.

Sensabaugh tries to play hero ball and pad his personal stats as he looks to be a lottery pick, scores 27 on 23 shot attempts. Game isn't as close as the score:

Illini 75
OSU 65
