I would stop Bates-Diop with a box and one .....

I hope this is sarcastic because osu has 5 guys shooting over 36% from 3. Throw out one potentially on sample size, and, uh, no. This is major conference basketball

----------------------------------
Dakich, Andrew...... 13 23 .565
Williams, Kam....... 31 67 .463
Jackson, C.J........ 47 117 .402
Bates-Diop, Keita... 45 121 .372
Wesson, Kaleb....... 4 11 .364

Nice info from fightingillini.com. Frazier leading B1G frosh in league games in scoring 13.7, assists 3.9, steals 1.2 and made 3s 1.9. He's really improved from 1st 10 games. Black has really improved in Coach U's offense. 45% from the field last year, 56% this year. Kipper's huge contributions of late, plus Ayo's addition, makes it look like we'll have at least four dangerous weapons starting next year.

That's kind of how I feel. It would take the effort displayed against MSU combined with the efficiency we saw last night to win this one.

The beautiful thing about this system is that it allows us to compete even when we don't shoot it well. MSU is better than OSU, and they were a terrible matchup for us. If we play the way we did against MSU we will win this one.

I never thought I'd say this and I hope I never have to say it again, but I really want to watch this team in the NIT. I know it's a pointless postseason tournament, but this team is young and fun to watch. Do we need to start an NIT bubble watch thread?:eek:

Tone of work to do to make the NIT.

What does it take to get in the NIT? Would 4-3 plus one more win in the B1G tournament do it?

I have my doubts. With the Big 10 likely to get 4 in the dance, that leave 8 ahead of us for NIT slots and we have no good wins. I can't see more than 4-6 at most making the NIT, so we need to pass 3-5 in the standings. Maybe 4-3 gets that done.

Perhaps all we need is for BU to find a progressively more grotesque jacket than the last two games. Whatever it takes!

GO ILLINI!:chief::hailtotheorange:
Am I the only one who liked that last Sport Coat? The orange one needs to be brighter orange (maybe he's deferring to Lou and reserving the real orange for him).

Illini 82-Buckeyes 79, we win a final shot game for once! Smith with a last second 3 and confidence builder!

The Tangerine sport coat came over with him from Ok State and the plaid one he wore last week was the same one Chin wore earlier in the year. However, nothing will ever match Ford's purple shirt.:)
