Your concerns are completely valid. Offensively is where we really struggled without Kofi. I almost wonder if BU goes into a chess match with Painter. Let BBV guard Edey and try to rough him up. If BBV gets into some foul trouble then it's not a big deal, but hopefully the refs let them play. While BBV is in, run a lot of pick n rolls. Edey isn't mobile. Have Kofi matched up with Trevion. He can't guard Kofi, but I think Kofi can defend Trevion well enough.

I also think it would be best to use Curbelo's minutes when Trevion is in. Curbelo can finish around the rim better without Edey in his way.

Gives me an opportunity to clarify my earlier post, which predicted a "brawl" if the refs let Edey to continue to throw his elbows into a defender's face. I didn't intend that to be metaphorical: I am predicting an actual fistfight.
And it will be the ref's fault.

That’s some solid pregame analysis right there.

Although we did make one more shot than they did last time - but thanks in large part to the whistle blowers, it resulted in a 2OT loss.

A 32-15 FTA deficit and a Kofi on the bench will not win you many. Let’s hope tonight’s game is 5-on-5… and with no MMA elbows.

Didn't see that. Interesting. It definitely is an issue that has got the refs attention now, I would think ... with all the talk and Twitter chatter.

That's the first time I have heard this potential strategy. I am sure BU has thought of it. I think he gives Kofi a chance to show he can go offensively against Zach Edey. That involves having Curbelo in the game at the same time, however. Have to get Edey moving away from Kofi.

Be prepared for the PU fans to be loud, obnoxious, and booing every time Omar does anything.
I think Omar can have a great positive impact on this game for our Illini.
