There are still enough seats for a contingent of Illini to make a lot of noise, especially considering that the season ticket holders may be suffeing from defeat fatigue. How many Illini might be considering going to the game if the team were losing out the season?

When you have to win out in order to accomplish your goal, and any loss kills it, the next game is always going to be the biggest game. Still, the win against MSU is as sweet as any in a verrrrry long time.

Have booked a local hotel room. Debating whether to buy a ticket on line or see if I can something cheap tomorrow. The last 15 rows or so around the entire stadium are empty on the ticket site. Can get row B courtside for $125 on Stubhub. 4 hour drive each way.

Have not gone since Providence last year. Much closer. Was scolded there for being too loud!

Go Illini!

Aren't there a lot of e-tickets on StubHub? Could you try to get something at the game tomorrow and still go e-ticket if that does not work out?

Where can I find these $15 tickets?

I'll drive there, from Chicago, for these games.

OK, you've been told. Game time is noon. Don't be late! :thumb:

And bring a friend or three.

I bought tickets in the 2nd row from the RU ticket office about a month after they went on sale.

Groce previews Rutgers

Groce: Obviously, this is a very, very quick turnaround. Needed to clean up some transition defense stuff in practice.

Groce: Much more of a mental practice yesterday. More time with film and walk-through. Taking care of their bodies.

Groce: Today, Practiced short but really hard.

Groce: Concerned about their guards in transition. Gaudy offensive rebounding numbers. Defensively, similar to us with their numbers

Groce: Hoping team has refocused. Really helps having Abrams' voice. After Wednesday's game, said 'hey, got to move on to the next'

Groce: Always a concern after you have an emotional win. Can have a letdown & let your guard down. But that's not what we're about.

Groce: Thing you notice is how hard Rutgers competes. How physical they are. How hard they go to the glass.

Groce: Anybody can beat anybody. We're humbled by that.

Holy cow, we have not won 4 straight road games in conference since Sylvester/OSU in 2005.

Personally, I don't think it's "less Tate" as much as it is "more Lucas". He has been an absolutely perfect fit for our (desperate) needs.

I think it's a little of column A and a little of column B. The offense really ground to a halt when he was running it this year and he's really only about average on defense, IMO. Lucas has been good, but he looks even better by comparison.
