I'm seeing Illinois at -1.5 (Vegas Insider). Regardless, it looks like a Pick'em game, so the spread might float back/forth all week.
Saturday will feature perhaps my top two favorite coaches in the Big 10. I particularly like what Schiano did during his first stint
in Piscataway. Pretty sure I'm going to stick with the good guys in all three of our remaining games.

What is that Altmeyer photo?? He's never worn the old jerseys to my knowledge since he missed his one chance in the 2023 Spring Game (IIRC "game" was in practice jerseys plus he was in orange). The photo almost looks like it's AI-generated but it's far too accurate for that to be the case. Has to have been a weird photoshop, maybe from his recruitment, but why in the world would Rutgers use that instead of an actual picture? Am I only one kind of floored that Rutgers would be favored at all here? Worse record against a weaker schedule, worse defense, no signature wins.

I mean we were underdogs as a ranked 6-2 home team against a 5-3 Minnesota team. And then we lost. So I'm not surprised that Vegas is struggling to get a line on this.

I love no other but let's face it: we haven't beaten a single team this season that currently has a winning record. And we've lost to all three we've played that do.
Saturday afternoon the boys will fix that.

How often has a team at the end of the year claimed that they have three ranked wins on the season, and when all said and done, have no wins against teams with a winning record?
If Illinois beats Rutgers and MSU beats Rutgers to end the season, Illinois could potentially finish the regular season 9-3 with three ranked wins and no wins against teams with a winning record. Quite crazy!

It's just so odd because I ve never seen us in jerseys like this, practice or otherwise.
This is DeVito from 2022(we would have had these jerseys at the time, or at least closest thing) Luke's hand blocking through I i can get but the blue trim on the sleeves is maybe... tucked on DeVitos jersey or it's a different cut?
