Now that I know how this bench can play, I'd take the Illini to cover the spread.

BU will not let this team rest. Make this West Coast trip a blowout of epic proportions.

With this win, the Illini should either be a 4 or 5th seed now, imo. We'll see how Lunardi projects. They were either a 6 or 7th seed prior to this game.
Lunardi is a tool. With this win and if we get past Washington, we are closer to a 3 seed.

We introduced the Ducks to it, then rubbed their noses in the asphalt. Time to invite the Huskies to their own special session in the Pizza Hut parking lot.

This game means more to me than it should, but I've had a grudge against Washington since they bounced us in the second round of the tourney back in '06.

It was the beginning of our decade-long basketball despair.

Euthanize the Huskies. :illinois:

I'll instead argue that we should be 2nd seed.
- #8 KenPom
- #10 NET
- 11-3 overall
- Victories over OREG (away), ARK (neutral), MIZ (neutral) and 10-2 WISC
- 2 pt loss to undefeated #1 TEN
- Road loss at #5 ALA
- Overtime loss on the road at in-state rival NW
- And, we have a potential 1st team All-American point guard
Great points. I was being conservative. I didn't think on Lunardi's bracket The Beloved would make a huge jump. You are absolutely on spot.

Quad 1 wins: 3 - 3, I believe.

In some ways, this game might be tougher than the Oregon game. Washington will look to slow the game down and get our guys (especially bigs) in foul trouble. Could certainly see a short night for Morez. By looks of the Maryland box score, that’s what they did last night.

Don’t think they’re good enough to impose the style they want for the entire game, but they will manage to do it more than we’d like. Illini win, but not by as large a margin as some think based on the Oregon game.

I give credit to last nights win to Davis and Dre....it was a good team effort by everyone but their infusion and contributions into the game really set the tone for the rest of the night....not making light of the rest of teams efforts or contributions...but without Jake and Dre giving us a tubo boost midway through the first half, I believe it's a different type of game the rest of the way...loved that BU played 9-10 guys a good amount, would love to see that continue in Seattle

Lunardi is just soooooo east coast focused. As I've said many times, he'll have our ILLINI seeded at least two places worse than the NCAA committee come March. It's an annual ritual. I also see that we're now up to #5 in the NET rankings. If we can win on the road again this weekend, we should be hanging with UConn and Houston as the highest ranked 3-loss teams --- knocking on the door of the Top 10 in all polls.

But the Huskies are going to be a tough road win.

That would be difficult to do.

Thanks to last night's win over Maryland, this is now a Q2 game instead of a Q3 game, but it's still a bad loss that this team can't afford if it wants to win the conference.

Get a win.

This is shaping up to be a very important game to my well being.

4 years undergrad at UI >>>> 2 degrees and 7 years at UW.

Brandon Roy crushed my spirit and it is just returning after last night.

I’ll be there in person so no way to hide if the outcome isn’t what we all want.

I know, I know, I shouldn't blame the refs, but they were brutal in that game. It was very similar to the North Carolina Championship game. Poor Bruce.

I'll have to watch a lot of this on delay. I snagged tickets to the Drake-Murray State game on Sunday afternoon. I've wanted to see Drake and Ben McCollum's team live this season. Quietly a pretty good story through the first part of the season, as they were undefeated until being upset on the road at UIC on Wednesday afternoon.

His bracketology blurb about how the big ten needed Oregon more than Oregon needed the big ten was a headscratcher to me... like wtf dude.
FOX and ESPN are shamelessly now simply mouthpieces to advertise the conferences they are financially anchored to ... we should expect about as much objectivity as a PR department for a large corporation, haha. And if you hate the Big Ten, you will pump up the newer (i.e., "less Big Ten-ish") member WAY before you'll give credit to the legacy programs.

I'll say this, though ... can anyone say with a straight face that FOX networks are anywhere near as unprofessional, spiteful and obvious about their bias as ESPN is?! I think it's a night-and-day difference.

Great Osobor finally lived up to his hype against Maryland. We need to be prepared.
