My marketing department think I’m some sort of content writing wiz, with the amount of blogs, social media posts, white paper “drafts” I provide them monthly for my business unit. Little do they know - ChatGPT ;). Granted I only need to provide strategy and direction in the form of “draft copy, and direction,” they have to proof, edit, etc then post. LOL

Are you saying college basketball isn't a "grand chess game," wherein any particular matchup could "tilt the board"?

I'm shocked. Shocked, I say.

Beginning to see more of CH and Dain in the lineup together....which I believe is a good thing...moves CH out of the post on defense....and gives us a post presence on the offensive end....and to be hones Dain's got some pretty decent post moves and can score down low with some efficiency .....Dain should have a big game in Madison
And Dain’s free throw shooting…..we can leave him in later in games.

I haven't watched them a ton, does Klesmit shoot off the dribble or mostly catch and shoot? It feels like it's the players who thrive shooting off the dribble that really kill us.
He's pretty good at both and is surprisingly good at taking it off the dribble to the hoop on occasion.

It will come down to who makes shots. Which sounds silly to say, but for a team struggling like Wisco our defense might me the cure for what ails them?

Agree with previous comments about our physicality on D. You gotta make them uncomfortable. Fouls be damned to an extent. We have a bench.

Trent and DMFW got guys out of their game with their relentlessness physicality. You felt them.

I would LOVE to see this be a game where we bring the muscle and knock some Badgers down.

To compensate for their lack of speed, and given our depth, many we should inflict a little more discomfort on our opponents,
a little more "paign", perhaps a modified version of the "Jordan Rules" for any opponent who is shooting out of this mind, which in the last six weeks have not been in short supply. We need some "enforcers" TR and DD come to mind.

Agreed. We need to spread a few hard fouls around ala Chuck Daley/Detroit Piston "Jordan Rules." (It pains me to say it but they did get Michael off step a bit in his younger years)

Epic Battle? Can you spell hiperbol, highperbolbe or hyperbowely?

I can't.

(Secretly, yes I can. And this article is it. Hyperbole. Ole!)

Good points ... i say illini guards, namely domask and rodgers, are a half a step too slow in guarding the more athleic B10 guards like buie, young, baldwin, etc ... thus the opposing guards get in the paint for an easy floater or dish off to an open big guy under the basket.

I think this is a symptom of trying to run the other guards off the 3pt line. They play them tight and the opposing player often gets a step on them.

So a win against Wisconsin would clinch a Top 3 seed in the BTT along with that double bye. This one will not be easy, but if we're going to take it home, I think we're going to need a good game from Ty. TSJ and Marcus should eat on offense, but Ty's additional defense and rebounding I think are going to be important in this one. Wisconsin is one of the best defensive rebounding teams in the country at 10th overall and best in the B10 so stolen 2nd chance possessions are going to be critical. If Ty can get 8pts and 7rebs I think that'll be the x-factor. It also wouldn't hurt to see Marcus return to Wisconsin and have his MJ at the garden game. Let's win this one and keep the pressure on Purdue to hold serve!

All three of our remaining games will be tough to deal with. That's what makes this Wisky game so important. We really need to beat them. I'm just hoping this doesn't turn out like Iowa and Minny, who were shooting out of their minds not just from distance, but from mid-range too.

They worry me!

It was mentioned that MD has motivation going back home, but I think Storr will have a little chip on his shoulder, too. Combine that with Wisky's bigs who can play away from the basket but are absolutely able to score down low and their quick/shifty gets-in-the-paint pg and that seems like a very bad combination for a defense that seems to encourage career-high performances.

On the hopeful side, we're due for an opponent to have an off game, right?

I'd love for Storr to have a chip on his shoulder while TSJ is checking him. Storr gets to taking some bad shots when he's feeling himself.

Yeah yesterday someone asked if they'd be crazy if they didn't want him if he becomes available this off-season as a xfer.

Hes a very good 2 way player, but he absolutely can become a black hole on offense. He's not a playmaker outside of shooting the ball, evidenced by his putrid assist rate for a guy who has the ball so much.
