Washington St’s ranked higher than us in the F+ ratings.

Washington St: 44
Illinois: 52

Washington St lost 41-44 this weekend to (13) Oregon.

oh wow. I honestly wasn't aware of that. I should probably do a quick google search before I hit enter next time lol.

Madison is an insanely loud tough place to play in and you just know their fans are going to be hyped to get the better of Bielema. Here's hoping Bielema and the Illini can pull off a road win and win the turnover battle.

Wisky bulletin board material:
Break Chase Brown's streak of 5 100yard games in a row.

BB's team motivation:
Last time we played on the road to a b1g team, we lost on the final drive by the opponent. That is not going to happen again.

Bucky's top TE was injured vs OSU and is out this week. 3rd leading receiver in yardage and had a few TDs already this season. Somebody mentioned earlier they were w/o their 2 top OTs vs OSU but I didn't see any OL on their injury report this week or last week?

From Wisconsin State Journal article I saw. No idea on status for Sat.

Left tackle Jack Nelson will not play against the Buckeyes due to illness, and he is not with the team. Evan Flood of 247Sports was first to report Nelson’s absence. Redshirt freshman Nolan Rucci was listed as his backup on the depth chart this week, but junior Logan Brown is likely to start at left tackle with sophomore Trey Wedig starting at right tackle, according to State Journal sources. UW is already without starting right tackle Riley Mahlman due to a left leg injury.

thanks. I saw a tweet from last Monday that didn't have either on preliminary injury report. based on Chryst's comments last week it sounds like Mahlman could be out another week or two, "certainly not playing" last week so we'll see. Also noticed their starting kicker is out. Not sure if that helps or hurts us. He missed 2 FGs vs Wash St.

And this is my favorite Wisconsin game of all time, just in principle. I was alive (just) but not in the stands.....and not yet able to spell ILLINI.

Wisconsin Absorbs Worst Football Defeat in Nearly 50 Years Losing to Illinois, 51-0.

Wisconsin sophomore Quarterback John Boyajian recovering a fumble while LaCroix (#67) attempts to block the opposition during Wisconsin's 51-0 loss to Illinois. The loss was Wisconsin's worst football beating since a 54-0 loss to Minnesota in 1916.'s 51-0 loss to Illinois. The loss was Wisconsin's worst football beating since a 54-0 loss to Minnesota in 1916.
DESCRIPTION
November 13, 1965: Wisconsin Quarterback John Boyajian recovering a fumble while LaCroix (#67) attempts to block the opposition during Wisconsin's 51-0 loss to the Jim Grabowski-led Fighting Illini of Illinois. The loss was Wisconsin's worst football beating since a 54-0 loss to Minnesota in 1916.
I love that photo, and I miss the days when equipment technology (particularly the shoulder pads) was such that it made these huge guys look otherworldly mammoth. Look at 85s legs (apparently, he's TE Bo Batchelder of Peoria Richwoods). They're the diameter of sequoia trunks! And he's listed as merely 6'2"/ 215. :ROFLMAO:

Also: 51-0 Illini. [EDIT: And a Wisconsin team that went 2-7-1. I'll drink to those days returning soon!] :illinois::chief:

Those Wisconsin helmets are ridiculous.

It appears Wisconsin is down this year. Its hard as heck to win at Madison but they have to be reeling after upset loss to Washington State then getting steamrolled by Buckeyes. The stars may be aligning.

This might be a great chance to steal a road win against a quality opponent.

On the other hand. If you're the Wisc staff, this home game vs Illinois is a MUST win. They have to stop the bleeding and if they're going to turn the season around it HAS to start with Illinois at home. They're going to be ready to play.

That was amazing how oSU picked their def backs like playing against a high school team. The o line has to give DeVito time.

This is the a test to see what type of season we will have. We should be 4-0 however sloppy plays and unforced errors we are 3-1

This week we play another road game in a more hostile environment. If we pull out a win on the road against a team who has their backs against the wall we might have turned the corner
