No one knows that but keep an eye on your local listing I guess. Also Matthew Loves Ball on YouTube gets pretty extended “highlights” of the game, and usually has Illinois games in there

Nothing personal taken….I love the board, takes, and info.
I bleed O&B….always will.
Should I meet a fellow loyalty board member in any bar - drinks on me and man hugs will abound.
Loyalty board guys go to bars?

We will overcome. Monday is when we need some platers back.

I think it would be in their best interest to get, at least, one of the two guards(Frazier or Curbelo) back.
Ya don't say? 😁
Coleman Hawkins?
I thought Hawk was a great "PG" on the open floor, all things considered (ie, having never had that role and not playing much last year). He just couldn't implement a half court offense (and neither could Monte really, fwiw). I'm going to enjoy seeing Hawk grab rebounds and start the break this year.

Go ILLINI will be watching tonight on the plus. I think there is a game in Dec will be the last plus game. What I have noticed is that there is around a 5 min delay between the start of the game and the plus comes on. So I listen to Brian Barnhart for the first few min.

Is either RJ or Podz billed as a PG? I know Goode was more of a shooter.

Surley by now Belo's concussion protocol is over.
Not so sure it wasn't over before the last game. I think maybe, just maybe, BU held at least two of those guys out on purpose........and I like it.
Not an insider, but it was a great opportunity to see what we have on the floor when our starters are out, and I like what I saw.

Not RJ.

Podz played some PG in high school. I think he was billed as "could play some PG."
Podz probably has the BBIQ to play backup point but he needs to tighten up his handle and get used to the speed and physicality. He's a gym rat, he'll get to the point where he can be an option as a backup point for short stretches. Hes wired to score though and that shooting guard position is where he'll do the most damage in the future.

How is the BIG+ streaming doing these days? Worth signing up for?

Seems like I remember people having video quality issues in the past.

Not great and the announcers aren't very good, but it beats only listening on the radio. I live in the country and my radio and internet reception is poor.

I’ll of course feel differently after any potential loss, but … playing without our “stars” is likely serving this team very well, and a close win vs. Arkansas State to “scare ‘em” and a win at all at Marquette without Kofi will be good for us in the long run.

As good as we were last year, it’s a damned-near fact that we lost to Loyola because we were too dependent on talented players “doing their thing.” When Ayo and Kofi were neutralized by the combination of excellent game planning by Loyola and us just having an off day, we simply weren’t equipped to respond. The staff was damned if they didn’t keep trying to go back to proven stars like Ayo and Kofi, and they were damned if they “didn’t adjust.” We chose the second poison, obviously.

One reason I’m more optimistic about this year is our balance. The simple fact that we’ll be SLIGHTLY better from three makes us damn near unstoppable on paper, and I think our roster is much better suited to shake things up when one aspect of our game isn’t clicking. These three games are hopefully giving these guys confidence and further improving on this aspect!

Will be there with the family to see the Illini play night. It will also be my daughter’s first time seeing the Orange and Blue. She was little bummed about Kofi, but very excited to hear the Trent and Belo would most likely be playing.

No issues with Big+, announcers talk a lot of SCHMACK! Can listen to to the game on WDWS thru the internet. At least usually. Not getting any radio reception in MA.

GO ILLINI!

Any official injury reports?

It was okay but iirc it didn’t work on Roku. There is a BTN+ channel but it didn’t work. I had to log in on my laptop and plug into my TV via hdmi cable. Oh and yeah, they had the “schmack” guy doing the announcing. So if you are into schmack by all means crank the volume up. Otherwise, play the video and turn on the radio. You can also watch previous games on BTN+, although I’m not sure how long they keep those available.
