Arkansas was highly rated early in the year, then Braziele got hurt and they sort of fell off the map.

I never did watch them play at all though.

Having high level NBA draft picks hasn't always mattered in the NCAA Tournament. I can remember an Arizona team with DeAndre Ayton getting knocked out early.
Let's hope they are more interested in their NBA draft position than playing g in the ncaa

Arkansas is missing Brezile transfer from Missouri and they go brick city like all teams. We have 3 men who can guard Nick. I personally love this match up and then Kansas. We might as well beat the breaks off off both teams. In Iowa, no less. We should be orange strong in Des Moines.
I was hoping we’d have a nice crowd in Des Moines, but it’s not that easy to fly there and it’s a very long drive from IL.

A lot of similarities here. Young, talented, and inconsistent all season.

There wasn’t gonna be a “good” pairing on the 8/9 line. I’m glad we see Arkansas over Memphis or West Virginia. Plus playing in Des Moines should bring a decent crowd. We actually matchup pretty decently against them, I think. They shoot the 3 horrendously, dig in on defense, and don’t make their free throws. They’re also athletic at every position. Sounds a lot like a team we’re all very familiar with… I’m concerned about who guards Nick Smith, but we can go toe-to-toe with the rest of their team. This is probably going to be a brick-fest with the first team to hit 60 the one that comes out victorious. Probably Illinois +2. Honestly, we’ll take it. Get hot, and we can beat them. Let’s lock in.

Just taking a quick glance at the Arkansas roster, doesn’t look like they play many traditional bigs. Coleman should be licking his chops, Dain might not see a lot of time in this one

Let us not forget we beat Kansas in the exhibition game so anything is possible. Arkansas has some talent but so do we play hard win and move on!
but we came out with a fractured foot. I think we lost that one..
