We were a 3 seed back in 1987. We lost to these guys by 1.
TOO SOON.

By the way again, what was the name of the Austin Peay player, husky guy, who killed Illinois in 1987?
Yep. I believe there will be a new starting 5.
Yup. The name Austin Peay still sends a chill up the spine of us old timers. Nobody had ever heard of them and now we'll never forget them.
Let's get a big win Wednesday and get Finke and Smith back on track while we do it.
The name sounds right. And I remember the 3s. I just don't remember him being a center at 6'8". I thought the guy was kind of pudgy (no offense) forward or guard. But the point is, I remember he had a great game. Memory is unreliable; I'm sure you're right.
Thanks.
Hi, Ransom, this is Liberty Valance. Great movie! Anyway, don't know the motivation behind your question, but Austin Peay was governor of Tennessee before the Civil War. Hence the team name Governors. Found this out 20 years ago after meeting a prof from AP.
Doubt it. I think BU will use this opportunity to challenge the regular starters to come out firing on all cylinders. Maybe AJ in for Smith, but I think he will start Smith to show that he still believes in him. No need to shake up the starting 5 against Austin Peay anyway. I think BU will save that tactic for later in the year if we are really struggling and need a change of pace.

I'm assuming we're going to see some zone. Hopefully BU can experiment a little. Put Damonte, Alstork, or Smith in the middle of it. Or play Damonte at PG, with AJ and Alstork on the wings. Try to find something that gives the team confidence against a zone.
They should play a snippet of this everytime he makes one now in a game!
3,6,9,12,15.....is a magic number...lol
AJ starting to look a bit BP3-ish... He's seeing the floor pretty well and helps on backside D very well.
-18.5
He doesn't have the handles BP did and hes a more consistent shooter at this point in his career.
Got it at -18 this morning. Are we feeling good about that line? I am thinking the Illini get over 80, right?
I'm staying away from this one. Two teams roughly on our level, Vandy and Ok St, beat Austin Peay by 19 and 16 respectively.
Ohhhh thanks for that info!
Am I crazy in thinking that our turnovers are not really because of pressure but more because of mistakes?
Pressure causes mistakes.
