FDU is 6-7 though 2 of those wins are against non D-I schools. This is their first season under new head coach Jack Castleberry after their coach last season, Tobin Anderson, took the job at Iona.

Hopefully Dain gets his mojo back against a lesser opponent.
I don't know what to make of Dain at this point. He's got some of the worst body language I've seen in recent years of Illini hoops. Yesterday he came in, blew his first defensive assignment giving Mizzou a wide open 3, and then went to the bench and never came back. He looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.

IMO he just doesn’t fit into Underwood offensive scheme which is mainly 5 out opening the driving lanes.

I think there is a version of Underwood offense that could be successful with Dain, but it's specifically this group of players in the offense that makes Dain such a bad fit this season.

Domask being able to booty ball defenders down into the post, TSJ attacking the rim and QG doing a bit of both all don't work as well with Dain camped out in the paint. Having Coleman at the five and able to be on the perimeter opens up the offense so much more than when Dain is in there.

If it was an offense made up of mostly sharpshooters like Trent, Goode and Plummer that he could kick out to, then he would fit in well as a Kofi-lite in the post. Plus his defense prevents him from getting more minutes as well.

I don't think it has as much to do with Dain's fit as it is about Dain's performance. He should be able to come in and have a positive impact with his experience. He struggles defensively and hasn't shown any growth offensively. I've been a fan of his, but the reality is he hasn't progressed to earn the minutes. I'm hoping to see him flip the switch, but I don't know if it's going to be with the Illini.
