We match up better with IU I think. TJD has trouble with Kofi and they don’t have Diabate that we (other than Coleman) have trouble matching up with. Their guards are smaller and that helps us also.
I agree we match up better with IU, but Thompson at the 4 has given us problems in the past.

Looking forward to the Illini beating those ridge runnin', moonshine brewin', candy pants wearin', outhouse usin', possum eatin', gap toothed, slack jawed, beady eyed Loosiers in Indy tomorrow.
LOL...Unfortunately, there are just as many who match that description in the Illini....or any school's...fan base. But, IMHO, the Hoosiers truly are the single most important rival of Illini hoops and the one team that I personally get the most satisfaction when the Illini win. And I prefer those Illini victories when Indiana is really good...and this year they are not. For a state flagship school in a state where basketball is so important, it boggles my mind that their roster is filled with kids that can't shoot a lick in most games. Baffling. If I were Woodson, that would change in a hurry.

Seeing a lot of stuff in this thread crapping on last year's team (used too much energy in BTT, too inexperienced, too cocky) to say this year's can do better. STOP IT. This year's team can do better because it's a new year. It is fully possible - probable, even - that last year's Illini were better and that this year's Illini will advance farther in the tournament, just because of matchups and randomness. Stop disrespecting what this program accomplished in 2020-21.

Liking the pathway of IND, RUT, and PUR.

The winner on Sun gets the #2 seed.
Brackets are set before that game is finished, unless a team wins that would otherwise not make the tourney.

I think we can handle Ind but this will pretty much be a home crowd for them. Boys better be ready to play. I would hate to exit early
The tickets are allotted by school so the Indiana fans will have to buy up tickets from losers - Michigan Nebraska and Minnesota fans. I know a few IU fans they are not excited about this team.
