Get healthy and back to being us. Getting on the glass and taking care of the basketball, something we've done almost the whole year. I think we will be just fine, I'd rather go through this now than in late Feb/early March.

What bothers me the most as I thought one of our strong points this year was supposed to be depth. You can’t win a ball game by playing six players. It’s called fatigue. If those two guys aren’t back for Sunday’s game, he better implement a bigger rotation.

It is frustrating. But I would probably argue that the fact we were down two starters and two bench players last night and took a tournament team to OT is a testament to our depth.

Offer free tickets to alumni Krush members from past eras if they’ll find a way to get to Champaign. Put the current group on notice by reminding them they’re a STUDENT SECTION with an actual, literal job and we aren’t giving them those great seats just to be nice.
the crowd seemed a bit livelier last night.

Yeah injuries really hurts that depth. Because with Andrej and Kylan healthy, having Z, Ben and Jake able to contribute at a high level off the bench is great depth, where you really don't even need Lee or Petro.

Also still not having Ty really hurt last night because he has experience handling the ball and could have given Keaton a bit more rest and obviously he's a strong defender.

I regularly daydream about what this team might look like in different universe if Petro were serviceable and Ty were healthy.

To be fair, we lost Ty (arguably would’ve been a starter) preseason, Kylan (starter, perhaps second best player on the team) about a month ago, and Andrej (starter, perhaps 3rd best player) for last nights game.

Most teams are going to shorten their bench when you’re missing that mean key pieces.

That being said, I think it’s been a trend for underwood’s entire tenure to tighten the bench as the year progresses. I would’ve liked to at least seen Petro on the court, even if it was for a minute. And I would’ve liked more Lee.

BU seems to undervalue fatigue. But hey, I’m not the one paid millions of bucks so maybe I’m wrong.

Have you guys just seen a totally different Ty Rodgers than I have? Absolutely no way a healthy Ty starts for a healthy version of this team unless he's become an automatic three point shooter during his hiatus. Guy demands zero defensive attention outside the arc.

It’s obvious that Brad does not trust Lee or Preto. Two huge misses on the back side of the bench. Teams are throwing out 9-10 players against us and we are playing 6-7 guys. Brad really needs to recruit a better bench up to 10 who can contribute. We need all 8 this weekend.

In his defense, I never felt like we were going to lose that game until the final few minutes when bad things stated to snowball. At that point you can't really go to the bench for answers.
Without Kylan and Stoj we are still a good team, albeit with a few fatal flaws. Wisconsin figured them out just in time.
No one in this league can be down two starters and not be a middle of the pack B1G team, at best...especially if your two missing guys are your two best on-ball defenders.
Fortunately, its February and not March.

I seriously think Rodgers should be back March if he is fully practicing. I can’t imagine he wouldn’t play but maybe they don’t so he can get another year. We could use his experience. Hopefully Andrej and Boswell are back for this game.

If I'm Ty's agent there is a zero% chance I advise him to play this year. He's a really good college basketball player, but w/o a reliable jump shot, not much of an NBA prospect. He also doesn't really fit well with how we play. He'd be more of a gadget guy in certain situations/matchups. He certainly would have come in handy last night, but when fully healthy, I'm not sure he would bump Ben from his role because of how well Ben stretches the defense, and the continuity already established. How much PT is left?

He has only a few chances left to make some life-changing money in college. I'm sure he will be tempted because the team is really good, but hopefully this level of play is becoming the norm and not the exception. Ty can be a star in a starting role moving forward, but its awfully late to try to fit him in with what has been working so well.
I mean, a week ago people were wondering about how Kylan fits back in, and he played more minutes than anyone prior to getting hurt.

Sunday morning so our stadium should be nice and quiet for the Hoosiers!

Indiana is improving, just beat Purdue and WI...this one is going to be tough but winnable. Give me Illinois by 4.
If healthy and rested, I like us by 12

I think Ty is great insurance if healthy. He could be the cutter slasher role that Andre is playing. He does everything but shoot the 3. It would have been nice to have him against Wisky to man up one of their guards.
