Can we please have ONE properly officiated college basketball game?
I'm assuming we'll have more than 6 on Sunday. Well, I guess I'm hoping we will.Gonna be another tough one given the home court disadvantage and the existence of guards on Indiana's roster. Our 6 players are going to need to show up and supply the energy in the building.
I certainly hope not, but i do hope you are both loud and enjoy the game.I'll be here for this one. You'll hear me and my daughter on the broadcast from 219.
It is frustrating. But I would probably argue that the fact we were down two starters and two bench players last night and took a tournament team to OT is a testament to our depth. What bothers me the most as I thought one of our strong points this year was supposed to be depth. You can’t win a ball game by playing six players. It’s called fatigue. If those two guys aren’t back for Sunday’s game, he better implement a bigger rotation.
the crowd seemed a bit livelier last night.Offer free tickets to alumni Krush members from past eras if they’ll find a way to get to Champaign. Put the current group on notice by reminding them they’re a STUDENT SECTION with an actual, literal job and we aren’t giving them those great seats just to be nice.

I regularly daydream about what this team might look like in different universe if Petro were serviceable and Ty were healthy. What bothers me the most as I thought one of our strong points this year was supposed to be depth. To be fair, we lost Ty (arguably would’ve been a starter) preseason, Kylan (starter, perhaps second best player on the team) about a month ago, and Andrej (starter, perhaps 3rd best player) for last nights game. What bothers me the most as I thought one of our strong points this year was supposed to be depth. In his defense, I never felt like we were going to lose that game until the final few minutes when bad things stated to snowball. At that point you can't really go to the bench for answers. To be fair, we lost Ty (arguably would’ve been a starter) preseason, Kylan (starter, perhaps second best player on the team) about a month ago, and Andrej (starter, perhaps 3rd best player) for last nights game.
Most teams are going to shorten their bench when you’re missing that mean key pieces.
That being said, I think it’s been a trend for underwood’s entire tenure to tighten the bench as the year progresses. I would’ve liked to at least seen Petro on the court, even if it was for a minute. And I would’ve liked more Lee.
BU seems to undervalue fatigue. But hey, I’m not the one paid millions of bucks so maybe I’m wrong.
If I'm Ty's agent there is a zero% chance I advise him to play this year. He's a really good college basketball player, but w/o a reliable jump shot, not much of an NBA prospect. He also doesn't really fit well with how we play. He'd be more of a gadget guy in certain situations/matchups. He certainly would have come in handy last night, but when fully healthy, I'm not sure he would bump Ben from his role because of how well Ben stretches the defense, and the continuity already established. How much PT is left?I seriously think Rodgers should be back March if he is fully practicing. I can’t imagine he wouldn’t play but maybe they don’t so he can get another year. We could use his experience. Hopefully Andrej and Boswell are back for this game.
If healthy and rested, I like us by 12Sunday morning so our stadium should be nice and quiet for the Hoosiers!
Indiana is improving, just beat Purdue and WI...this one is going to be tough but winnable. Give me Illinois by 4.
I think Ty is great insurance if healthy. He could be the cutter slasher role that Andre is playing. He does everything but shoot the 3. It would have been nice to have him against Wisky to man up one of their guards. If I'm Ty's agent there is a zero% chance I advise him to play this year. He has only a few chances left to make some life-changing money in college. I'm sure he will be tempted because the team is really good, but hopefully this level of play is becoming the norm and not the exception. Ty can be a star in a starting role moving forward, but its awfully late to try to fit him in with what has been working so well.
I mean, a week ago people were wondering about how Kylan fits back in, and he played more minutes than anyone prior to getting hurt.
