"Game time decisions" are always shady. I know there's always potential for gamesmanship, but there is absolutely no way that they don't know at this point.
If Drej was noted as questionable on Tuesday to play, how could he not be ready five days later? At that point, the ankle injury was a lot worse than they let on, which is quite possible with him not being considered to play despite us only running with 6 and on fumes. If he's practiced full go this week, the pain is either there or it isn't.
With KB, it's pure pain tolerance if he's questionable and I suppose there could be some conditioning concerns. He's practiced this week, full tilt also, and they already have seen what the next day reaction is. If it was sore, inflamed , etc, he'd be out and he probably would have been held out any additional practices...and probably for the foreseeable future.
With the lack of a physically demanding practice today, there's no new knowledge that's going to be dropped on the docs by 11AM tomorrow.
If I had to wager a guess, KB would be in for sure because getting slapped on the wrist might hurt and it'd suck, but ultimately no damage done. It's just sore, but it does allow you to play some minutes, even if they're just spot minutes to allow for some rest.
With Drej, if the potential is even remotely there for further injury because there is still some pain, he'd be the no go. If you overcompensate for pain anywhere in the legs, you run the risk of hurting something else, which could be much more substantial. This goes back to the level of what the actual injury was on Tuesday. If he's not ready now, he won't be tomorrow
It's a game that we 100% need, but not enough to put our kids in harm's way, thus I'd say KB yes, Drej.....that's the one that worries me. Ankles are tricky.
