Coach Underwood's take on Coach Antigua: "He's great for me. I have a tendency to coach kinda the glass half empty. ... I want the perfect game ... He's got a tremendous way of looking at it as the glass is half full."

And there it is: how a coaching staff can become greater than the mere sum of it's parts.

In sharp contrast to this statement's self-reflective nature are the posts of the argument-prone on this terrific site (I'm not talking about debate). Snooty even. Self-important. Condescending. Gloating.

But worry not, Orangistas (hm, that might be a pretty awful term. Check that: it is completely awful): I have gotten better in recent years at reading right past the eye-rolling remarks of the large-egoed argumentarians. I post this feedback for the (unlikely) edification of the quarrelsome.

Headed to Houston tomorrow morning, does anyone know what end of the court and/or what section the Illinois bench will be on? Also, is the pre-game meetup in the same spot as Thursday? Sorry if this has been asked/answered earlier...go Illini!

As for both Teams...

Forget the regular season records. Forget what happened yesterday. None of that earns You one single point in the game coming up. Forget history. Any team that gets this far has proven it is a team good enough to GET THIS FAR. And if you are such a team, you just might be one that can go all the way.

Don’t even look at the name or colors on the other jersey. It doesn’t matter. They are just somebody that is rudely standing in your way from where You want to go. That’s all the matters to You. And you need to do something about that.

One Game. One limited set of possessions. One eventual final outcome from all those many trips up and down the floor and infinities of outcomes from multiple human beings in motion. A blizzard from which some kind order arises from some percentage of chaos.

Hopefully you bring your best both mentally and physically. Because whatever happens... both sides will live with the results of this game for the rest of their lives.

And so will we. The beauty of March Madness that brings Sanity for One and Sadness for all the rest.
Good stuff man

Have to make free throws. I don’t know what has happened, but that has become a major issue.
I think they were just exhausted from playing 40 minutes of D. Something they hadn't really done all year for both halves lol.
Nerves and angst was the factor against Houston. There was numerous stoppages for catching your breath.

We have avoided Courtney Green. He is officiating the Iowa State v Tennessee game. High knees is still in play, which i guess he would make sense to do our game against Iowa to make it an official B1G game with complete trash officiating tomorrow.

Our 3 tourny games have neen games where I am not making comments about bad calls! Pretty refreshing! Big ten officiating has been terrible!

Probably white script for this one....but this would be a great surprise...

Would have loved to see those earlier, but I think at this point it would be a bewildering and unfortunate decision to move away from Orange Script.

Hopefully ~Mr. Biggs~ agrees and drops his obsession with switching up uniforms at an equal rate each. 🤣🤞🏻
