As for both Teams...

Forget the regular season records. Forget what happened yesterday. None of that earns You one single point in the game coming up. Forget history. Any team that gets this far has proven it is a team good enough to GET THIS FAR. And if you are such a team, you just might be one that can go all the way.

Don’t even look at the name or colors on the other jersey. It doesn’t matter. They are just somebody that is rudely standing in your way from where You want to go. That’s all the matters to You. And you need to do something about that.

One Game. One limited set of possessions. One eventual final outcome from all those many trips up and down the floor and infinities of outcomes from multiple human beings in motion. A blizzard from which some kind order arises from some percentage of chaos.

Hopefully you bring your best both mentally and physically. Because whatever happens... both sides will live with the results of this game for the rest of their lives.

And so will we. The beauty of March Madness that brings Sanity for One and Sadness for all the rest.

This tourney is set up for lots of sweet revenge/redemption if (and that's a big if!) we can make it happen.
Rd 1: beat mccaffrey
Rd 2: nothing of note
SS: Sampson shadiness and houston knocking us out a few yrs back.
E8: iowa. Needs no explanation.
FF: crybaby izzo, sleazy pitino, crazy Hurley or scheyerface. All present a great opportunity with good backstory.
NC: Mich? Arizona (i was at that E8 game in san antonio. They are still calling fouls against us in that game)
 
A lot of dreaming ahead. Lets go stomp the hawkeyes!

I'm going to put this out there now....
Illinois wins by 15+....

Iowa has exhausted a lot of energy/emotion in holding off Florida and coming back versus Nebraska. These are still college kids and not pro's. No matter how much they get paid. If Illinois attacks them early they will run away with this game.

hope we can finally get an officiating crew that is consistent, can't figure out the "no calls" on Wagler, unbelievable. This was supposed to be a seasoned and experienced team of officials last night, couldn't prove it by me

Will literally shot 20+ more free those than them. Complaining about the refs is ridiculous. You may not like SOME calls, but when a team only goes to the line twice .....it's a big help.

The Illini think that they have the easiest path to the Final Four, because Iowa is the lowest remaining seed.

Iowa has similar thoughts, because they don't need to go through a #1 seed to get there; they've already knocked out the #1 in our region.

I have to be on stage at 6pm tomorrow night, but might be able to have the game playing on my iPhone . . . Of course that could get me fired with the multiple mistakes I would make. I've got it recorded, guess I'll watch after the gig. . . Kick some Squawkeyes behind - I L L!

What sucks is I’m actually going to be in Friendswood Texas in a couple weeks which is in the Houston area. Maybe I can convince my buddy to move his wedding to this Sunday…

We have done this exact thing plenty of times this year. We can’t get a lead and fall in love with the 3s if they are falling early.

I’d be hammering Illinois. I know the first game was 75-69 but IL dominated that game. I just think it ends for Iowa against a way better team. I’d expect that like to be 9-10 by game time.

We're about 10pts/100poss ahead of them in KenPom, but most games are less than 70 possessions
