Does anyone know if we would get the early or late elite right game if we make it?

ISU fan here visiting your board. It's great to see a forum presence for an Iowa State opponent in the tournament and can hopefully have some civil discussion before Thursday.

To this point above, there is next to zero chance Iowa State plays zone. They have players that have shown they can match up man to man against some of the best teams in the country. Their defense is elite and has been the last 3 years (5th in 2022, 8th in 2023, Currently 2nd in 2024) under Coach Otz, zone isn't going to start in the Sweet 16. The thing that has changed in the last 3 years is the offense they went from 171 to 114 to this year at 48.

This Iowa State team will probably be the second or third best team Illinois has played this year.
Someone mentioned going to a zone in this thread, I should have quoted. I haven’t watched enough of ISU to know if it’s part of their defensive scheme. Typically a very good defensive team like ISU doesn’t have to use a zone.

1. Purdue - @ Mackey
2. Purdue - home
3. Tennessee
4. Marquette
5. Iowa State (although, ISU on a neutral court in Boston may be tied with all 9 of the remaining Big10 opponents on the road)

Does playing super late at night benefit us or them more? Or does it really not give either team an advantage.
We're coming from the same time zone, so I'm guessing it's going to be a matter of whose staff does the most to adjust their team's schedules to adapt to the time change.

I trust this staff to get it done. If we lose, it won't be because of the time change

You think Marquette at home was a tougher game than what Iowa State will be? I get it was one of the 4 ranked teams they played all year (Purdue twice I know, still the same team), but it was at home. I hope your team underestimates Iowa State as much as some on this board do.
