Someone mentioned going to a zone in this thread, I should have quoted. I haven’t watched enough of ISU to know if it’s part of their defensive scheme. Typically a very good defensive team like ISU doesn’t have to use a zone.

Better team? No. Better offense? Yes.
Uhhh yeah we’re the Number offense in the country. Houston has scored 70 or less 12 times this year….Illinois 2….and they were the second and third game of the season.
Katz is a sideline reporter. I didn't mind Avery that much. He was very complimentary of our team. I don't see that with Van Gundy.

No idea as of yet. But if the past is any indication, it looks like last year's Elite 8 games were at 5:00 PM and 7:50 PM CT.
Does playing super late at night benefit a really good offensive team or a really good defensive team more? Or does it really not give either team an advantage.

I've always liked Van Gundy. Not afraid to give his opinion on stuff when it's warranted (sorta like his brother in that respect lol). Harlan is one of the best announcers out there and Dan Bonner is good in his role in the 3 man booth.

We're coming from the same time zone, so I'm guessing it's going to be a matter of whose staff does the most to adjust their team's schedules to adapt to the time change.
I trust this staff to get it done. If we lose, it won't be because of the time change

And Houston has been banged up for past 6 weeks. Big12 championship Houston was playing like a dog with 2 legs.
You think Marquette at home was a tougher game than what Iowa State will be? I get it was one of the 4 ranked teams they played all year (Purdue twice I know, still the same team), but it was at home. I hope your team underestimates Iowa State as much as some on this board do.
I agree they were injured, but they still beat them by 30.
