I think everyone has to take a breath. It's going to take more than 5 games to have guys figure out their roles to replace a first team, do everything, All American. Right now, BU's not flipping out because he's trying to figure out what he has and what 5 work best together. Last year, when he inserted Grandison into the starting lineup and took Ayo off the ball, they skyrocketed. Remember, last year we went from losing to Missouri to a 16-4 Big Ten record. It was not smooth sailing. So, while this was ugly tonight...this is far, far from a finished product. It could very well mean something crazy like Curbelo coming off th bench, where he was most comfortable and giving the reins back to Frazier to run the point to start games. BU's teams always get better as the year goes on and I suspect the same of this group. Guessing major changes coming to tomorrow's lineup.

Well, it looks like we’re playing K State. After 28 minutes, they’re down down 18, have scored 33 points and are 0-12 from three. They are awful! If we can’t find a way to win tomorrow that will be a huge problem … Go Illini! :shield:

I'm Mr. Brightside... And even I'll admit that we better beat K State tomorrow or the wheels are not off the bus, they are spinning in the air while the bus dangles off a cliff. We are too obviously talented to lose these games, it's a chemistry and discipline thing right now.
Hoping for a 20+ win but will settle for a 1+ win.

If nothing else, I’d like to see effort tomorrow. Against Ark St. we had 24 offensive boards and they had 10. Against Marquette we had 19 offensive boards and they had 7. Tonight, we had 14 and Cincy had 13. We were lazy and emotionless. Shooting can come and go but effort should never be an issue with Every Day Guys! :shield:

Absolutely agreed. Offensive rebounding was generally nonexistent over the last 30 minutes, which is astonishing given Cincy was sending 4 guys at Kofi. That's just bad effort. The guys better get up for tomorrow like their hair is on fire.

That makes no sense. Drawing crazy conclusions based around what? BUs teams get better? Guy got mopped up by Loyola. And now has gotten beat by two unranked teams, one by 20 points. Must be digging deep for positives.
