Not gonna lie, the uniforms are growing on me. The orange outline on the I decal is obviously inexcusable, but I do like the orange color of the helmet (anything is better than matte orange!)

I'm digging the uniforms. Personally, they should choose some designs and stick with them for awhile. 99% of the angst about uniforms is people struggle with change (and people love uniforms that were worn by successful teams/eras). Stick with a design, improve on the field, and everyone will come around.

Kent State is legitimately one of the 2 or 3 worst teams in the nation. If we win by that kind of margin, we are in for a really, really rough season.

I can see us going up 3 scores and then experimenting. Basically seeing what the other QBs do in a real game, how second stringers perform. So long as we get the W, I am happy.

But these helmets are matte orange.

I’m not in practices, nor do I understand football at the level I do basketball, but I feel like we are way to under talented and under experienced to start experimenting. We need to get really good at our system fundamentals first.

I can tolerate the orange border on the decals, but it always appears they apply the decals such that the I is tipped forward. I suspect they are orienting it vertically when the helmet is sitting on a table. So when the helmet is worn, the I is not vertical. That bugs me more than the orange border.

With so much inexperience along the offense, I don't see them subbing out. I could be wrong, but getting our 1s more game snaps at this point has to be more important than looking at the 2s.
