Otherwise known as a zeal of zebras.I know it to be called a crew, from being in the officiating community.
A blindness of referees?![]()
Starting my day off by watching it now. Some random thoughts:Classic! Two evenly-matched heavyweights trading punches. And my favorite Illini team of all-time.
Glad it's not being played in Lexington this time around!
Just to be clear for those who are likely wondering, the people pulled from the stands were qualified basketball officials. They were local high school officials, but it wasn't like three random people were picked like in a 50/50 raffle drawing.Starting my day off by watching it now. Some random thoughts:
1. Forgot the matchup earlier in year had no officials due to weather and had to pull folks from stands to officiate.
2. Altenberger considered going to Kentucky? How awful that would be!
3. Man, the 3-point line and shot clock has completely changed the game!
4. Lou Hensen was a damn good coach!
5. This was a deep, balanced, and talented team.
6. Winters played injured that game.
If it's a B1G crew, the official term is The Three Stooges.is there an official term for a set of referees who routinely work together?
The B1G crews are collectively known as the Keystone Kops.If it's a B1G crew, the official term is The Three Stooges.
That Kentucky team was loaded. Kenny Walker and Winston Bennet off the bench? Still, 15-0 on second half free throws, smh (OK, we got 2 after the game was decided).Starting my day off by watching it now. Some random thoughts:

I cheer for the Illini....and anyone that's playing AuburnEveryone should hate Duke. It's not something that needs a reason.
catspause is their main board or it sed to be......and normal is not an apt description..........................I popped over there too. I agree with your assessment.

A sign. We have been given a sign. Must ride to Milwaukee NOWThere are three perfect brackets left on ESPN’s tournament challenge. They all have Illinois winning today. Is this a good omen or a bad one?

I find it so interesting to see how much the 3pt line has changed spacing and sets run.If you are looking for a way to pre-game tomorrow you can watch the ‘84 game on YouTube
I have a friend who went to Duke so I guess I don't feed into that idea that I have to hate Duke because they're Duke. UNC I have a reason to dislike, Missouri I have a reason to dislike. Kansas I have a reason to dislike. Big 10 foes like Indiana and Iowa I have a reason to dislike. But, Duke never did anything to Illinois other than give us our worst loss in program history. But, that's on our players and coaches. That's just me thoughEveryone should hate Duke. It's not something that needs a reason.
How about Jon Scheyer is a kid from the Chicago suburbs (whose high school coach was Bruce Weber’s brother) who spurned his state school ILLINOIS to go to Duke? Is that a reason?I have a friend who went to Duke so I guess I don't feed into that idea that I have to hate Duke because they're Duke.
