Yet I watched them best Marquette pretty easily up in Fiserv a month ago. Though as others here have said, that probably says more about Marquette than Maryland.
Marquette is arguably the worst P4 team in the country. I say arguably because the only P4 team that may be worse is Rutgers.

Maryland’s star big guy, Payne, hasn’t played in over a month. Their team is just super limited without him.

Myles Rice was a highly anticipated portal get, but isn’t even a starter.

The fact that it’s a Quad 4 game tells ya all you need to know.

Is it possible for the Illini to actually drop in these rankings (Torvik-Net-Kenpom-Bracketmatrix) with home wins against Minny and Maryland?

And then (God forbid) with a road loss to PU, they can rise in these rankings?

At last look, the 5-foot-11 Coit is 6-8 from three and 10-14 for 30 points (PSU has 39). Maryland has hit 11-18 three-pointers. The only real chance Maryland has to beat the Illini (other than the hex, of course), is if they go wild from the arc.

Any update on Andre's injury?

Coit ends up with 43 points.

Boswell better bring his "A" game defensively.

honestly I think they should do a mix of bos, Andre and Keaton. Coit was very quick but loved to do that criss cross into the step back 3. andre and Keaton have the length to make that step back a little more difficult

Keaton struggled against Reid from Northwestern and won't fair well against super quick, miniature guards. Rather have Boswell.

I hope Maryland doesn't "Coit us". 🫢

As the recent point-shaving case highlights the pervasiveness of gambling within college sports, I'm not sure how coaches (ours included) can continue to get away with completely concealing injury information. There are always people around a program who know a player's true status and it's naive to think that some of them aren't exploiting that knowledge.

Of course, I'm not sure modern medicine has ever developed a healing elixir like an upcoming game with the Illini. There are even some versions of the Bible that explain the miracle of Lazarus by saying his team was scheduled to play us the next night.
