How does the wind affect the running game?

I got my son and I tickets today. Is it the closer to the field, harder to see over players? Close to a sale out! 💯 where should I park for free,? My son and I don't mind walking?
My daughter and I park on Lincoln St. It’s a decent walk, but never had a problem finding a spot.

Seems like it would be deflating.

You’re having an underwhelming season, then you play a high emotion game against your rival. You get crushed. You gang up on an injured kid on the opposing team in the tunnel after the game. Video goes viral, gets 10 million views. You lose 4 players, 2 starters, and you could lose more. Michigan player decides to press charges. A teammate or two could go to jail.

They might come out with energy during Q1, but if we go up by a score or two early, I could see MSU packing it in.
Hope you're right. But under any circumstances, the Illini better not take them too lightly.

Grose is the starting nickel back. Young is a freshman and is 3rd string according to their depth chart
From Werner’s article today:

  • Angelo Grose: The junior safety is a three-year starter who is third on the team in tackles (53) and second on the team in pass breakups (four).
  • Zion Young: The freshman defensive end has played a significant rotational role for Michigan State on the edge during the last four games and has 21 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack this season.
  • Tank Brown: The redshirt sophomore linebacker and Minnesota transfer isn’t a regular in the rotation. He has played in six games this season and has one tackle.
  • Khary Crump: The redshirt sophomore cornerback and Arizona transfer isn’t a regular in the rotation. He has played in four games and has one tackle and one pass breakup.

Wondering if he's going to potentially be a redshirt candidate in 2022. That single carry yesterday didn't do anyone much good. (He could even still play in the Natty!)
I thought we should redshirt him a few games back. We could use him against Purdue and Michigan, yes, but I think it's in Josh's best interest, at this point, to sit him out. It's not the same, but I remember Curbello coming back waaaaay too early, and I don't want to see it end the same way. I'm happy to see the coaching staff doing the right thing here. McCray probably wants to get out there SOOO badly.

I was just thinking it is surprising that they have not had a "stripe-out" announced for either Michigan State or Purdue. I don't love (or hate) that gimmick, but it still surprises me, lol.
I’m of the opinion that every game should be an “Orange Out” without the advertising and branding. Orange is our color and as fans we should proudly rock it every game.

I keep hearing people ask how Illinois will adjust from being the hunter to the hunted.

Who says we're done hunting?
Knock on wood and all, but this team just does not seem like the type to let up. Even with a #14 next to our name, I think they will have a chip on their shoulder vs. every single opponent, including MSU.

This is a season-long coming out party to let the world know that we are legit, and given our schedule, there are still plenty of people to convince! I definitely don’t think we’re done hunting.
