Rebounding is a below the rim activity, leaping ability is not necessary (see Oakley reference above).
Boxing out is a lost art.
Its interesting. Line up and defensive adjustments need to be made. But they don't necessarily fit together.
But as with Maryland and Indiana, Tracy has shown us no real defense and certainly no offense. I Like the idea of TJL and JCL in the backcourt with Hill, Black and Mav. Then you have Tracy off the bench at the pg/sg, DJW at the sf, Nichols at the pf and Finke at c. Thorne will be a bad matchup for this game and just not a fan of Tate's although I pleaded in the past for people to go easy on him. I'm willing to go with AJ if you play 11.
Are you kidding me? Tracy might be in a slump offensively but he is the best defender on the team.

Not that it matters, but at a certain point, they stop being throwbacks and just a regular uniform. No way did I think they were going to be worn so much this year.
Attending this one in person. Hope we have a good crowd. I know I will be doing my part. This is as much of a must win as we have going forward. I hope the guys realize this and play all out. There is no room left to squander any winnable games.
Those jerseys are among the select few exciting things about this years team. I'd almost be for Groce coming back next year if he came out and said they were the only jerseys they are going to wear moving forward.

I agree with Ken's analysis as well, really excellent observation about all the other players having to act as pseudo PGs. Not like when we had Luther, Dee and Deron where each was at least a double if not triple threat.

I'm less concerned with who starts than tightening up the rotation. Unless top player or two gets into foul trouble like Hill did at IU, shouldn't have 10 or 11 players seeing action. Yes, the roster is deep, but if it was as talented as people seem to think then we'd be a better team. Need to start winnowing down the rotation to basically 7 or 8 players, and have our best guys out there the most.
I also have to keep my eyes glued to DJW when he gets into the game tonight because I just don't understand all the love he gets on here. Yes he's athletic, but I've not seen him do anything to warrant more minutes.

No. This has got to be one of the oldest teams in NCAA and everyone is healthy. If Groce can't get into the dance with this roster, it's because he's inadequate as a coach.
Per Fletch's nos 31.5 vertical vs Kipper's 36. Actually one of lowest on team. Says something about rebounding though.
