This is the most worrying in this stretch to me besides Iowa, maybe because neither I nor Illinois has seen Minny before.

Don't get me wrong, I think Illinois can win. But I don't feel as good about it as I did Purdue & Mich.

Holy hell though, this is just fun.
You felt better about ROAD wins at those two madhouses than you do against Minnesota at home?

I'm thinking the fact that we won both, you're experiencing some revisionist history and are waiting on a faceplant like many of us are.

These guys are not perfect. No team is. We're due for one of those WTF games. Over a 30 game season.....it's going to happen. I expect a firm win vs Minnesota with our WTF game being @ Iowa.

As much as I hate Iowa, I am ok with this. Not supposed to win there anyway. If we have to have a bad game, rather it be in a game we are supposed to lose. Of course, the flip side is 18-2!

Oturu going to be an entirely different challenge for Kofi. Then he has Garza. Nothing easy ahead.

We improve against everyone, except Rutgers. That is a very good sign.

To provide some perspective, we were (just prior to each game):
Purdue +5.3 (won by 17)
Michigan +4.1 (prior to the Purdue game we were +5.3) (won by 2)

Brutal stretch of games that will define the season. 3-3 keeps us in the hunt somehow get to 4-2 and we should still at least be tied for first. However, lets just go 6-0

Do NOT be surprised if we go 6-0. I think 5-1 is a possibility. But, 4-2 is probable.

In the B10 play, we have:

Held Michigan to their lowest score: 62 (home & away)
Held Rutgers to their lowest score: 51 (away)
Held Purdue to their lowest: 37 (away) and won by 17 at their home
Beat Wisconsin at home with the best point differential in the league and are the only B10 team to win at WI
Held Maryland, in a loss, to their second-lowest at home

Not researched NW and MSU yet.

Won't be surprised by anything this team does anymore but B10 is a beast this year. If we play D like we have will be in every game and if we shoot even slightly above avg love our chances.

Alternatively, one might look at the schedule and say we now get to play 3 of the next 4 at home and in the friendly confines of SFC.

That's how I see it.

@ Iowa is loss in my mind. But I'll be hopeful when the game begins

I flat out expect to win the other 3. Even during this stretch of bad basketball the last 10 years, I always expect to win the home games.

Watched the replay and focused on Tev when he was in there. I'd say he held his assignments, played solid O and D and knew what he was supposed to do and where he was supposed to be. He was on the ground for loose balls AND he looked to be very engaged on the bench and during huddles.

I hope we can give him some more time during this game to see if he can settle in. We could really use his minutes.

@Rutgers also loss and @PSU next toughest. My guess is we win one of those and lose one we have in the win column. However win the next four and we will be talking National championship. We always try to be realistic here.

Kofi may be running into the Freshman wall - I hope we can give him some reasonable (slightly less) playing time over the next couple of weeks.

That place is going to be an absolute zoo! Think about the thousands of Illinois fans who've been waiting to go crazy for a good Illinois team again. It's going to be a powder keg that's ready to blow! I'd love to be there.
Will be there and Maryland and mich st and Iowa

Win the next four and at least some of us will demand canceling the tournament and awarding us the National Championship by acclamation.
