Don’t mean to be negative but Mizzou excels at the 2 things we’ve struggled with the most this year, transition defense and 3 pt defense. We did seem better against Alabama A&M and hopefully will improve some more after practice.

That said, we also excel in transition and Mizzou is quite bad defensively so if we can regain a bit of our offensive mojo we may score enough it doesn’t matter what they do offensively.

To me it will all come down to energy. Cuonzo and his teams always seemed to have better energy than us in this game but I have no idea what kind of energy Gates and all of their new players will bring. If we bring energy like we did against Penn State, I think we lose. If we bring energy like UCLA or Texas we win going away. My guess is our energy is somewhere in between and we hang on in a close one, maybe 82-78.

Announcers schmouncers. ChatGPT will soon have capability to announce games. It will take the video feed and turn it into commentary. Hopefully it doesn’t use dookie v as it’s underlying content.

I just don't hate Missouri. My love of the St. Louis Cardinals exceeds that of the Illini, by a slim margin. On the whole, I like the people of Missouri from my experience.

That said, I don't like losing this game.

As a Chicagoan and huge Cubs fan, the people of Missouri are great! St. Louis is a wonderful city that I would love to see rebound! The entire metro is very friendly.

Mizzou fans are none of those things, and I will always hate Mizzou more than any team!

EDIT: We’ve already seen some orange and blue downtown! Glad that some Illini fans have made it safely (although there’s been no weather quite yet).

Well Hal , when you have a fanatical fan base with so much love for the Illini then you would know that impending bad weather is not a hindrance to the joy they will experience by braving the storms and be present to cheer on the O & B squad.........It really like our mission ........You plan and plan and then you try as hard as you can to complete the mission......The joy is at the beginning of the mission , all wide eyed and bushy tailed.......then the joy is tackling the elements with one common desire .....to make it there........then the joy is watching the game ........hearing the noise;s that engulf you with a high decibel
pitched zone and the game swallows you up in it's drama......then the joy is the glow of winning the game against the miserable misery..........then the joy is making the trip home , talking and laughing about how much you have enjoyed this adventure .............What do you think about that ???

Pretty much my exact feelings.

We have more talent and athleticism than this team. Our offense, when firing, is better than theirs. Our defense, when trying, is much better than theirs.

But are we gonna try? Are we going to bring energy? Because if we can’t get up for this game after the last 2 performances, I’m gonna be pretty disappointed. And a lot of Illini fans will be too. I’ve had a bad feeling about this game all week, but I hope the guys prove me wrong that there was nothing to worry about :)

They do also offer a slow remedial and recovery program in Trailer Park Management for those requiring 9 or 10 years to complete their degree. :)

The one thing I don't like about this one....the refs know this is a heated rivalry and usually call some really soft fouls, especially early. Hopefully they stay out of it and let the teams decide the outcome.

That program actually offers some very useful information....like how many bales of straw one should put around the trailer to prevent pipes from freezing, also how to safely block up the pickup truck in the front yard, the proper placement of tires on trailer roof to keep metal from blowing off, and various ways of patching the family pool
