Don’t mean to be negative but Mizzou excels at the 2 things we’ve struggled with the most this year, transition defense and 3 pt defense. We did seem better against Alabama A&M and hopefully will improve some more after practice.
That said, we also excel in transition and Mizzou is quite bad defensively so if we can regain a bit of our offensive mojo we may score enough it doesn’t matter what they do offensively.
To me it will all come down to energy. Cuonzo and his teams always seemed to have better energy than us in this game but I have no idea what kind of energy Gates and all of their new players will bring. If we bring energy like we did against Penn State, I think we lose. If we bring energy like UCLA or Texas we win going away. My guess is our energy is somewhere in between and we hang on in a close one, maybe 82-78.
