Would like to see starting line-up of TA, TJL, MT, MH, LB

Most likely this will be Nail 4

In some alternate universe:

The #15 Fighting Illini go into the game against NC State at 6-1. The lineup of Quentin Snider, Kendrick Nunn, Malcolm Hill, Leron Black, and Darius Paul has been potent all year, and Jalen Coleman-Lands and Michael Finke provide plenty of firepower off the bench.

I had a silent tear role down my face

Even in our alternate universe we dropped one?? C'mon man! ;)

Absolute must-win here if we don't want to start B1G play in a very bad position. I still think this team will get better, but it may be too late by then.

I think if we win the next 2 and beat BYU and Mizzou, we'll be in decent enough shape in an already shaky conference in my mind. But i dont think thats going to happen. (although I predict a win Tuesday night)

Start Te'jon. That's all I care about. I mean, a win would be nice, but starting the best pg on our team is step 1 to getting there

Oh not at all. But we're not gonna drop 11 straight.

Nor are we going to go on the 8 or 9 game tear after that section that many people predicted in the preseason.

Right. Looking at the B1G schedule, I think a 6-12 conference record is to be expected.

6-12 or 7-11 in the B1G feels right. I'm hoping we can win one out of NC State, VCU, and BYU. Anything worse than 8-5 in non-conference play would be a horrific failure. So something like 15-16 or 14-17 overall I'm guessing.

Kenpom has us starting conference play 0-11.

No he doesn't. His projections have us as an underdog in each of those games but his projection does not have us losing them all, that isn't the way probabilities work. His B1G season projection for us is 6-12, yet he had us favored in only 2 games. So obviously several "upsets" are expected.

Call me crazy but I still feel like they could put this together. I really think Tejon and Abrams should be our PGs, And leron needs to be in there as much as possible. He had 8 boards and 11 boards in the last two games. That is impressive.

We still play no defense.

I would start
