I have 2 theories on the season. High mark 8 wins, we stay healthy, good fortune, and much improved coaching. 2nd, 3 wins and this is based off of our players are who we thought they were. Not very good and recruiting was horrible under Coach Smith.
Yeah, this is where I am at. Bielema's coaching acumen is less suspect than Lovie and Zook's were when going into their season 1.Yep, we actually have a competent BT proven coach for the first time in a long time. Hard to quantify that into first year wins, but I'm hopeful. Lots of super seniors will certainly help
Hopefully the clock management will be improved.Yeah, this is where I am at. Bielema's coaching acumen is less suspect than Lovie and Zook's were when going into their season 1.
What? You mean two deep safeties, soft outside corner zones, and a wide open middle of the field wasn't cutting it for you?!With there being tape on Martinez, I have much more confidence in this staff to put together a game plan to stop or at least slow down him and their offense.
Seems to work for offens… oh, right. What? You mean two deep safeties, soft outside corner zones, and a wide open middle of the field wasn't cutting it for you?!
Gotta be national. I have it Tivo'd on the east coast (so that I can re-watch the victory once I return home from Champaign late Sunday)!Dumb question: anybody know if the airing on Fox is nationwide or is that just more local / regional?
Thank you. I was debating when to restart my YouTube TV subscription. If I can pick this up on the west coast I’ll probably get that started again in time for the game.Gotta be national. When you don't change the game plan week to week it really cuts down on the film you have to watch! What? You mean two deep safeties, soft outside corner zones, and a wide open middle of the field wasn't cutting it for you?!
Definitely national. I'm getting the game out here on the West Coast.Dumb question: anybody know if the airing on Fox is nationwide or is that just more local / regional?
He is definitely a dynamic athlete and if we can get him the ball in space he can be a game changer for us.
Haven’t heard/seen anything. Not sure how they would have the inside scoop and really really hope it’s not true.rumor on Nebraska board saying that Hightower has torn his ACL, can anyone back that up?
When he announced he was switching I immediately thought this. Nebraska lost wandale who could be a great compHe is definitely a dynamic athlete and if we can get him the ball in space he can be a game changer for us.
I also love the wrinkle of a jet sweep RPO in this offense with IW. With a slant-out rub combination on the play side and back side TE (Ford) running a deep post to the middle of the field
To be fair, didn't Lovie want Williams to be WR, but Williams refused? I'm pretty sure that's accurate (though I am too lazy to look back for sources). I just think that's something to remember if suddenly the offense explodes in part because of this switch.
Rod Smith's offense was tailor made for a QB like Williams, so I could see where he might've want to hold out for an opportunity. OTOH, it seems Peterson is all in on pocket passers. To be fair, didn't Lovie want Williams to be WR, but Williams refused? Just pointing out something I find interesting.
If I recall correctly he committed to Illinois because we actually recruited him as a QB, whereas other P5 programs were trying to recruit him as a WR.To be fair, didn't Lovie want Williams to be WR, but Williams refused?
