He said orange jerseys not necessarily all orange. I'm hoping for white or blue pants.

This could mean so many different things, but I'm going to hope it's an optimistic outlook!

You need to consider the source.

Biggest crowd in years, tons of recruits on campus, a chance to make an impression, etc.

I don't even need to tell you what the weather forecast is.

Illinois gonna Illinois.

I'm not sure what you are getting at here. If the athletic department is promoting something along the lines of an "orange out," one would expect the team to be wearing all orange.

Just give em a fight. That's all I'm really asking for.
Yep. That's where I'm at. Make it look something like that Missouri game when we first had Koenning as our DC and Petrino as OC where we still lost but looked respectable at least (surprising a lot of people in the process) and I'll be happy.

That's a good comparison. Young team, new staff (kinda), didn't know how to win yet, playing an unremarkable team nonetheless presumed to be better than them and came out with some credit, leading to a good season, which could have been much better but for acts of extreme Zookness.

Do the same this weekend and subtract the Zookness and we could be cooking with gas.

Anybody know if UNC pinky swears that players are now actually taking real classes?

Agreed. A win would be great, but all that I ask for is to show that we can compete with good teams.

We are going to have so much going for us that night as far as crowd support, excitement, somewhat of a prime time game, some great recruits(basketball and football) in attendance that we almost can't afford to get clocked. Keep it competitive and build on the Lovie momentum.

I would absolutely love if our defense performed like it did against ASU in Zook's final year Saturday.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a good performance but this one game won't sway a recruit one way or the other. We could get beat my 40, but go on to finish the season 7-5. Or we could win, but finish 5-7.

A win definitely doesn't hurt. But getting clocked won't be a big deal unless we get clocked all season. And same thing if we win. Beating UNC would just mean the bar is set that much higher for the rest of the season.

Last sellout (60,670) was 2011 Michigan game. Largest crowd since then: 51,515 Ohio State game 2015.

Competence: It is so nice to be witnessing our football program being administrated and coached by people who have a plan and the ability and desire to execute it. What a difference. I have said on this forum that all I wanted was a coach who would have been admitted to the university without an athletic scholarship. Now we have a bronze tablet former Illini tight end pulling out all the stops to pack the stadium and create a home field advantage for our guys to have the best shot they can and create a habit of excitement. For the first time in memory I am not only not embarrased when our coaches speak they make me feel like we have an advantage. May still go 5-7 or even worse but I still feel like we have an advantage going forward. What a difference.
Thank You Josh Whitman and Lovie Smith

Go to TickPick or Stubhub they will have some!

I just checked there are at least 750 tickets at Tickpick. Some as low as $11!

If a trend develops where the general admission nearly sells out and the student section remains 1/2 full, I really hope they switch around the student section. It looks heinous when the NEZ is less than half full.

But in reality I cant even believe I am thinking about what the stands look like. I just thought we were eternally doomed with TB and his travesty

NC is a 9.5 chalk over Illinois on the road.

I respectfully request your thoughts.

NC has a porous run Defense ranked almost last in the country. Illinois looks to have a solid run game.

Illinois defense is Solid-Could be the most underrated Defense out there.

What scares me most is NC Special Teams-NC has the most dangerous kick off return man I have seen in a long time.
