Northwestern will be a dogfight for us. They have been playing better than Wisconsin the last few games. If we have another ho hum performance we will be disappointed once again.

Comes down to line play. Luke is way way way better than their QB. But if both sides of the line are as weak and uninspired as they were vs Wisconsin this will be a close toss up game.

Weather will be very cold and attendance sparse.

Not much on the line for either team as NW is locked in to a very minor bowl and IL an average bowl game.

The only thing that may put a bit of juice into this game is it’s a night game and senior night for a lot of players

We suck at night. Wish it were an 11 am game. Get a new long snapper and punter for the game. Let Cole Rusk watch from the sideline.

So are you listening, Bret? Empty the backfield and play 5 WRs against the Cats. Luke is our best runner by a wide margin. And the WR room has performed well this year.

Hard to know what Illini team shows up. We’ve bounced back previously, but it felt like Bret kind of took over for the week. Hope that happens again. Losing would be a terrible way to limp into the post season. The fans showed up this year and deserve a win to end the season. But I really want to see Luke go out with nice win on Senior Day. One of the best we’ve ever had.

5. Either the Illini safely cover or lose outright by double-digits...been that type of season.
