The real question is: will they update the rankings in real time during the game tomorrow?
I was wondering this, haha. I have turned my fiance into a true Illini basketball fan over the past several years, and it's funny how into the AP rankings she is. She loves checking Seth Davis' Twitter on Sunday night when he puts out his poll, as he's really funny with "trolls." She was asking if they would make a big deal out of it or just, like, slyly change the numbers during a TV timeout or just keep the outdated rankings the whole game.

She sounds like a wonderful Babe FOTN.
Go Illini.

Not an AP Poll voter, but Katz has us at 4 in his power rankings. As has been said before, find someone that loves you the way Andy Katz loves the Illini.
It appears some of the bigger names that cover the game have taken notice. Now let's win tomorrow and keep the hype going.
I know this is a power rankings and we won 11 of the last 12 or whatever. But dang that seems pretty high

This one is going to be a tall order. Unless we're really shooting the three well(hitting 10 to 12+), I don't think that this is going to necessarily be close. We'll be in close enough to where we're still in the game, while at the same time, not being a serious threat late. It would be awesome if I were off base here Purdue is one of th few teams that won't have to continually double Kofi, which is going to really put pressure on the guards who, outside of Frazier, have not been very good of recent.

Purdue is really well balanced. Have to take something away defensively, while being extremely efficient offensively.

Guess:

Purdue. 78.

#4!!!!!!!! Wow - a stunner (even tho it's A. Katz)!!! I really like how he's willing to make bold/dramatic moves every week. He totally shook up his rankings half way through the season. Baylor #10?

And I'm sure Andy will be in Champaign today giving his favorite Big10 team some in-person love.

They're still going to double Kofi, unless they get him into foul trouble. Their starting lineup can't contain Kofi one-on-one. This is the kind of game where I'd take Kofi out in the first half when Edey's brought in, and throw both Hawk and Payne at Edey every time he gets the ball. Keep Kofi fresh for the 2nd half.

Sounds like you found a keeper! Been married for 15 years. My wife stuck by the Me AND the Illini the whole time. Not sure which is more impressive. /s.

Sometimes I wonder what it would take for some of you to believe that Illinois basketball is good again. Clearly winning is not sufficient.

With this early start time ole pru has had to adjust my usual pre-game ritual and I settled on a breakfast of 2 pieces of toast with Strawberry preserves and some community coffee/ Irish Creme flavor........yum yum...........now , a chaser of a gummy bear and 3 Ibuprofin tablets.........Around 9:30 am I will be having a couple of Oscar Meyer hot dogs ,100 % Angus Beef and some Sour Cream & Onion chips .......If we lose , I won't be eating the rest of the day , but will be drinking heavily........If we win i will be having my normal pre-game eats of Ribeye , baked tater and salad as a post game victory feast ...........

I'm debating on a wake and bake and think I'll wait until after the game is over ......

I predicted earlier and will stick with it ..................

Amen.

I never actually wavered from believing this:

Home court always gives us a chance.
If we are ranked, we shouldn't lose at home.
