Perhaps. However, it's been my experience that it's more of us playing unnecessarily like !!! when we play against Purdue. I'm hopeful that ship has sailed.
Now not even sure if Walters does get another year. Darrell Hazell is still recent memory for them
I’m guessing Purdue will give a better effort next week. We have to come ready to play. Can’t afford to stub our toe with this one.

I buy the sectioned party wings from Costco . a six pack with about 5-6 drummetts & 5-6 flats per section .
I do 1/2 naked with kosher salt & pepper , the other half coated with Williams seasoning .
cook on upper rack or indirect heat for about an hour or so . very simple to do at a tailgate
brisket is so awesome but you gotta do it day before . takes 10 hours

Eh, he was here 4 years and wanted to spend his grad year with his HS coach. No hard feelings, but he wasn't going to feature as much with the logjam of RBs we had waiting in the wings
Purdue always seems to "get up" for Illinois.
On one hand this feels like complete trap game. On the other, Purdue looks like an unadulterated dumpster fire. Maybe they can rally and give us a game, maybe not. This is a MUST WIN for us.
Purdue is a dumpster fire but they embarrassed us last year. This definitely shouldn’t be a game anyone looks past.
I’ll be disappointed if we don’t beat them like a rented mule

The Naval ROTC bell will be rung a lot next Saturday. I suspect that Illini are going to come out with aggression and play 60 minutes of dominant ball.
