Darrell Hazell went 3-24 in the Big Ten, with two of the three wins coming in Champaign.
Hazell won more Illinois-Purdue games at Memorial Stadium than Zook, Beckman, Cubit, Lovie and Bielema combined.

Well it's no silly narrative that the engine of Coach Bielemas machine is still revved up by Lovies parts.. As is the Bears getting all those extra picks. He gave the processes motion but no direction.. Those draft picks came for him but they were well guided by Coach B and FamILLy..All I gotta say is leave my name off the Lovie Smith thank you card. Guy sucked as a CFB coach and the product on the field was a massive embarrassment. Let's just celebrate Bret and his actual success rather than trying to retrofit silly narratives
Does anyone know what’s going on with Mario Sanders the wide receiver?
Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Sometimes I feel like when a starting QB is playing really bad the backup will just play better like that Nebraska game last year.Did I miss this being posted? This explains why the point spread moved recently

Anything can happen but the worry wart posts are too much. Illinois will beat Purdue handily. Last year, the last five years are irrelevant.
Which Brandon? Or both?I'm confident that Brandon will be playing in the NFL in 2 or 3 years making bank. Talented, huge, athletic, and high iq! If you wanna make a living playing on Sunday. You come play for coachB.
That link has to be fake. Adam Schefter reports on NFL. Not college.
It doesn't matter if a given active player or coach was a part of these games or not; this should piss everyone off enough to want to absolutely destroy Purdue on Saturday, especially given the whole Walters situation on top of it:
ILLINI LAST 10 GAMES VS. PURDUE ... 2-8
2023: Purdue 44, Illinois 19 in West Lafayette, IN (Walters embarrasses us in first matchup)
2022: Purdue 31, #21 Illinois 24 in Champaign, IL (cost us the Big Ten West title and a trip to Indy)
2021: Purdue 13, Illinois 9 in West Lafayette, IN (blowing this lead ended up being one of the games that cost us bowl eligibility in Bret's first season)
2020: Purdue 31, Illinois 24 in Champaign, IL
2019: Illinois 24, Purdue 6 in West Lafayette, IN
2018: Purdue 46, Illinois 7 in Champaign, IL (we actually started a decent 3-2 this season and had just won at Rutgers the week before in a blowout ... and Purdue embarrassed us in Champaign, setting the tone for the year, as we would win ONE game after this)
2017: Purdue 29, Illinois 10 in West Lafayette, IN
2016: Purdue 34, Illinois 31 in OT in Champaign, IL
2015: Illinois 48, Purdue 14 in West Lafayette, IN
2014: Purdue 38, Illinois 27 in Champaign, IL (we'd end up bowling this year, but losing to Purdue at home while we were sitting at 3-2 really sent us on a skid)
If you think that looks bad, we have not beat Purdue in Champaign since 2010. That is 14 years without beating the Boilermakers on our own home field, going 0-6 in that timeframe. Payback is DEARLY needed on Saturday.
Browne is a big kid that moves pretty well, they've used him as a wildcat-type option in the past.
