Frankly, no, the play-in winners have been by a country mile the most likely first round upsetters since the play-in game was introduced, with the theory generally being that they've had a game to get accustomed to tourney-ish spotlight and intensity.

We'd have much rather avoided a play in winner, but so it goes.

For all everyone is talking about Xavier, Texas and Kentucky, I wonder if anyone here remembers the 5th team in the pod ( ala Duquesne last season).

Watched some SEC games this year, and Texas is an inconsistent team that can sometimes play much better than an 11-seed (feels like I'm describing us too). On the other hand, I think Kentucky is overrated as a 3-seed. I wouldn't be surprised if we either lose in the first round or make a run to the Sweet Sixteen.

150/ticket limit 2 through our ticket office if you get selected (priority).

It happens a lot. Syracuse was trash team that barely got in a few years back and went on a run. Let's just do our part and shut our side down.... Give no quarter to Texas or Xavier.

Win against the 11, get hot and blitz Kentucky. Get a tough and well earned revenge win against Tennessee with a kj game winning shot. Get to elite 8 and hope clingan is nowhere to be found

Our Beloved’s seating? Thank God for quality wins. Shows the value of playing really good teams during the season. And this also gets you in the frame of mind when the time comes when you cannot afford one single slip up – like now.

11 seeds have won 39% of the time against the 6 seeds, but it's 55% if you only go back to 2014.

11 seeds won 3 of the 4 matchups last year, let's hope they regress to the mean.

This is the best possible draw for us! It's Final 4 or bust now.

Shucks. Gonna be 62 this year and still, still not a member of the cool kids club. But, I will be bleeding orange and blue until my time is up.

Ticket purchased. $188 before fees...280 after fees and tax but for two games, it's $140 per, which for the NCAA tournament is very digestable and tolerable. First NCAA tournament ever. This is a bucket list for this college basketball fanatic and Illini fanatic. Looking forward to it. The stars aligned for a close destination and the Illini at that close destination despite being a non top 4 seed. I don't know if it would've made more sense to wait but with Kentucky fans being rabid and our fans being rabid, I imagine that tickets will be at a premium and will be overinflated so hoping I made the right decision to just purchase now and not wait until later in the week
