Will the sell out crowd show up Saturday? There are a ton of tickets on Seat Geek with prices trending down.

USC...lotta slant, with big lines pushing Illini back. USC 42 Illinois 21. Our backs seem lost at times.....

The OC play calling needs to adjust to the pressure our QB is under most of the time. Also. My wife calls up the middle for no gain on first down most of the time, and she would be right 70-80% of the time. Brady lasted so long in the NFL because he threw quick short passes and the players would get yards after the catch. He was seldom hit because the ball would already be out of his hand. Slants, play action, screens are all made to protect the QB and can be used to check the pass rush. We usually have two downs to get 10 yards, since our 1st down calls are so predictable.
many pre-/during/post-game posts on lack of or efficacy of in-game adjustments. the first count-adjustments are in the game plan. What Duke did first half was expected - our second half should have been the adjustment at start of game, not half-time. Our in-game adjustment should be adjusting to their adjustments. Ditto on IU - our start-of-game play calls should be 'adjusted' and we need versatility to keep them off-balance. Basic game theory/game planning.

I was one of many that knocked this team after that horrible a----s kicking in Bloomington. Our O line is slow and weak, defense is injury riddled. Don't count on Feagen to run the ball. USC will sayBoo and he will fall down. Try using all of the other backs. If the O line can give Luke 3-4 seconds I think he makes the big plays. I may be crazy but I think Bret has got their attention and they will come out firing and take down the Trojans! 28-24

Haven't lost a home game yet this season. Now is not the time to start.
If Neuheisel is not the quarterback, we have a chance!

I don’t see the Illini Walk on the schedule. Will they not do it this week given the Fox kickoff show?

I have moved on, this will get you beat Saturday against condoms! Just say we got out coached, we didn't have men ready, and then the team quit period. It's unacceptable. Everyone including players are getting paid. Some a Ton. Say it, move the F", on. Let's roll the Trojans and have a great Saturday. I love the start time, hopefully USC doesn't wake up til it's to late!

No way! It's gonna be 7am.. to their USC bodies. Coach B will have team spitting fire. I am worried about our massive injury list. lack of line play, and a running back.

No doubt he's a guard at the next level. Likely tanking his draft stock by playing him out of position.
Forgive the ignorance - thought he played tackle at Grambling State? Why aren't we trying him at guard just for something different since what we are doing on the o line doesn't seem to be working?

That's a pretty good guess. It's really difficult to turn instantly optimistic ---- after that beat-down last week. I'll follow your lead and go with:

45 - USC
24 - ILL

(YTD Record: 4-0 predicting the winner; 2-2 against the spread)

Is it a fair statement to say Lovie Smith recruited more talent at the end of his tenure than Bielema has at the same point of each of their tenures?

Our 2022 team had lot of NFL players. Mostly Lovie recruits.

Not seeing many dudes on the 2025 team.

Outside of Weatherspoon at 6 overall. It might end up being closer than you think.

Jacas 1st or 2nd
X Scott 1st - 3rd (Hard judge coming after an injury)
JC Davis- 3rd or 4th (Complete guess)
Bailey -Mid Round as Early Entrant (Just my guess, hope he comes back another year)
M Scott- Mid round
Melvin Priestly- Late round (though I could see him maturing into a long term starter at Guard in NFL)

Likely Camp Invites
Rosiek
Arkin- Probably as ST
Josh Kreutz
James Thompson
Tomi Durojaiye
Last 2 could make it into draft boards IMO IDK where to put them
