Wisconsin might not have Mertz and TE Jake Ferguson and they don't really have a RB that looks like "the guy." that they traditionally have. Defense is still good, but if Illinois can limit the mistakes on offense, we could have another Purdue game on our hands

Peters (no pocket presence) vs Sitkowski (slow decision maker). Low risk/low reward vs high risk/high reward. The fall off to the 3rd string QB (Robinson) to awfully big. Gotta play the cards that have been dealt to ya'.

If we can get our offensive balance figured out, this is a very salvageable year, considering how everyone looked today. RU, NW, Minny, WI.
So, like, we could possibly (if everything goes right) rise to the lower middle of a rather mediocre conference? You are one crazy optimistic fan. I like the way you think, though. Keep the positive vibe going.

This line will be interesting. Wisky was somehow favored today, which was totally insane. They should have been a touchdown underdog to Michigan.

This should probably be single digits, but has Vegas learned its lesson?

Don't mean to sound like a Koolaid drinker. But their 2nd touchdown was after 2 contested passes, where our DBs need to find the ball and knock it down. We seem to have cleaned up the blown coverages on the back end. And playing stoutly against the run. Who knows? I actually thought RU was going to play OSU tight today.

I’ve been hoping for a three win season (NW), but I have to admit that I’m starting to hope for a 4th win.

UW's QB Mertz is most likely out for next week, their starting TE might also be. Hope springs eternal in the heart of an Illini football fan.
His insane performance against us last year notwithstanding, they're probably better off without him, he's been awful.

Not entirely his fault, this is not the kind of OL we've come to expect from a Wisky team.

We need 175 yds passing to beat Wisconsin, and Imo Art’s the only qb that can get us there... Maybe try some tight end seem routes?

Still not sure why Art isn’t being considered again, he lost games but just seems to have a better feel in the pocket once he settles in.
I have a feeling that BB might be using Peters as a sacrifice lamb honestly. I think Art has the chance to develop and BB and TP see that, but also know he was rushed in to action and that caused Art to develop bad habits at Rutgers and they started to reappear when he was forced in to action here. BB wants to win, but know this year was going to be a shot show regardless, so he is giving BP the reins knowing that he is struggling to let Art develop to give him the best chance to fix his issues and lead the team next year since our other QBs need even more seasoning. This allows BB to step up and show improvement while not ruining QBs that could actually help us in the future vs what BB knew from the start would be a lost season/bridge year.

Peters’s would’ve been benched if he didn’t throw that td pass before half against Charlotte. Now we’re stuck with him for the first half against Wisky. He’s got a very frustrating way of sticking around
Honestly, I don't believe that for the reasons above. BP is the sin eater for this year. Art may not be worse, but he isn't better either. Let Art fix his issues and gain confidence not in the crucible so he can be better next year instead of BP level for 2 years.
I swear Peters has predetermined who he is going to throw to before each play.
This has been his case since Michigan. He hasn't developed past HS where his first read is the only read and him getting consistently hot for 2 years has made it worse. He is out there without awareness, he is running the plays but we are making him do it so that other guys aren't forced to develop bad habits like he has.
