It took a top 10 away OT loss for us to have a 12 game win streak snapped. I think the guys will be motivated more than dejected. Wisconsin is also on short rest after an OT game.Super scary game coming off an emotional loss and on short prep. Wisconsin on their best night can rain threes and beat anyone. And they have dynamic scoring guards and our best guard defender is still out. As good as I think we are, this game feels like a difficult matchup to me. We'll need an A or at least B game to win.
As was mentioned in the SFC thread, refs get influenced (even if subconsciously) by the crowd. Our crowd simply must be better.Get the standard home B1G whistle and we will win by 20. Get high knees and uncle fester and we will have to scratch and claw to survive.
I hope you're right, but I say the UCLA game.I reckon Boswell is back for Indiana game.
Boswell would've helped the Illini on D vs Fears. But would it have killed us to go under the screen set for Fears vs. trailing him over/around the pick at the top of the key? Could Fears have made enough 3s to hurt us vs. killing us on his crafty drives to the hoop? Even if Boswell had been in the MSU game, the Illini would've been better served imo by going under the pick/screen... at least some of the time.I have a lot of confidence going into this final stretch of games, and it has little to do with who the opponents are.
It took A LOT of things to go awry for the 10th ranked team to squeak by us in overtime on their home court.
Also Boswell would’ve stymied a lot of what Fears was doing.
Northwestern is terribleStirtz has found his groove
Let's just focus on Wisconsin.Win three straight and we're easily back in the elite mix going into the Michigan game. And unlike last night's carnival show, we'll be facing scUM at home.
1) Maryland was a way better team than WisconsinI really think this is a very difficult spot. Last yr after we lost at MSU, we lost by 21 at home to Maryland.
We don't have Kylan. I'm worried how we contain Boyd and Blackwell.
