One field, two teams. And a game that was not as close as the final score looked.

One team plays nowhere near their ability and decides to spend the day trying to make as many mistakes as possible in every aspect of the game. And a second team who got sick of losing and says we’re not having that today. They go on the road and make the home team look lost and listless.

Major step backwards for the program. It’s just one game and something of this season is still salvageable. But there’s a few guys in the locker room that will have to take a long look at themselves in the mirror and not sugarcoat what they are seeing.

This was supposed to a season where we wanted to see the Illini take another step upward to be closer to the elite in The Ten. But a performance like this is not going to strike fear into Ohio State or Indiana or Southern Cal.

Or is it that the Illini just shouldn’t schedule any more games against Indiana teams any more?

Nothing good to say about today. Failure all the way around.

Looking forward to what Bret has to say.

Allow 24 points and lose. Not any chance that should have happened. Offense truly dropped the ball today.

Unfortunately, the Illini may only be favored once or twice more this season.

Might be a 5 win ceiling after today. No sugar coating how bad this loss is to the season. It looks like a 3 win team out there.

So disappointing, not only did many chalk up this game as an Illini win, but many people predicted a blow-out.. This season is a disaster...A poor NIL budget can be heavily blamed, but also the coaching staff is a lot at fault especially BB. His worse coaching since he's been year..
