You are not beating PU if they shoot over 50 percent from 3. Edey shouldn’t have been doubled in the 2nd half he was sore and tired

We got to get the long rebounds. It wasn’t due to lack of effort.

First half too many turnovers

I am not blaming the refs but I shake my head at some calls like Edey foul on Hawkins

Unforced turnovers deprived the Illini of shot attempts. 3 stepping on the line was just terrible. Throwing the ball out of bounds a couple of times. Getting steals and then getting stolen right back. It is a tough loss but this team still looks like a team that can go to that second weekend. If they can get to the second weekend who knows?

Great game. If we play as well the rest of the season I will be very happy. Why we feel the need to have Harmon in the game late over Ty I will never understand. Deflected balls and lack of rebounds lost us this game. Ty is the second leading rebounder on the team despite being about 6th in minutes.

Couple of notes for me:

1. Whoever decided to change the defense in the start of the 2nd half (ultimately falls on Brad) ... What are you thinking ? Why quit something that was working?

2. Ty needs to play more ... Goode is an absolute warrior ... I wanted Ty over him tonight ...

3. Hansberry goes out there and just fouls ... That should have been Dainja ... We can debate all night whether they were fouls or not but at the end of the day ... Hansberry should not have been in the game ... And that's nothing against the kid ... I like him ... But Dainja was the guy matchup wise tonight ...

Off night from TSJ 3 of 11 and 0 of 4 from 3. Smith and Gillis were huge. Domask played his tail off. I hope we get em again in Minnesota and TSJ and Domask both play well.

Refs didn't cost us the game but the 2nd foul on TSJ and non call on edy when he foul Hawkins were huge too. Still can allow Smith those fairly clean looks as the clock is running out.
