It's not the number of fouls called on Illinois, it's that coupled with the lack of calls on Purdue. The game should have been more like 17 for Illinois and 19 for Purdue. Taking away a couple offensive rebounds and points from Purdue and at least 5 made free-throws. Adding free throw points to Illinois. Out of bounds calls were poor too. Makes a huge difference in what turned out to be a close game.
I'm with you on this one...its not about number of calls. If each team fouled 10 times and they called it 10 to 10, then great, But what if a team fouls 25 times and one fouls 10 and its called 10-10 on fouls?
I felt slight homecooking to purdue but not egregious. Mostly it was over the back calls that seemed to not be called on them (til edey did super obvious ones).
The two bailout calls Jones got had me reacting like coleman LOL.
Another thing that irked me
Kaufman renn and jones shoot 53% and 65% from the line. THey go for 13-14. At their averages we mightve won hah
Man..
